First off I want to say I am suffering from a bad case of Salmonella poisoning from their hard boiled eggs that I ordered which I did not know was coming from this store until I checked after as it was from a delivery service. My experience prior, being in the store was less than thrilled. I went to get a Charger and ordered a Margarita pizza. I went to put my belongings down and use the bathroom and every table was sticky and dirty. There was not one customer in the store, and the employees were sitting down eating at what I’m gonna assume was at the clean tables. It was not even near closing time. It was around 4:30 In the afternoon. I found a seat that was not a sticky though not clean either and put my stuff down and went to the bathroom that was disgusting. There was urine and toilet paper all over the floor. I didn’t look like it had been cleaned in weeks, maybe months. I would have rather went to a gas station bathroom or peed in a bush. Now I frequent Panera all the time and have never seen it a filthy mess like the Selden location. To top it off, my pizza tasted like it was reheated in microwave. I did not known that ordering through UberEats, that my eggs came from this location. I wouldn’t have if I did. I was feeling deathly sick within an hour of eating the eggs and here I am still sick 6 days later, on antibiotics and I feel like I’m dying. I was at a hotel for a work conference and had to extend my stay because I cannot drive myself home. So thank you Panera for your incompetent employees at the Selden location for causing me to feel deathly ill and costing me a fortune to have to stay at the hotel beyond what I was supposed to. For the record. I have a really bad case of Salmonella. That means that there is cross contamination going on with poultry as the eggs appeared to be fully cooked through. That is consistent with the dirty restaurant and lazy employees not...
Read moreWent in with my dad around 10:30. My dad asked if breakfast was still being served. The manager on duty Anna said no, it finishes at 10:30 and proceeded to changing the breakfast menu over to the standard menu. My dad orders and goes the pickup window. I’m waiting by the front and a couple walks in. They ask an associate (Dan) if breakfast is being served. He said let me check if we have anything left. Dan tells them we have one scrambled egg and some egg whites left, there’s even sausage left. He places the order and the couple pays. Hmmm I thought breakfast wasn’t being served anymore. I spoke to Dan on the side and quietly asked him to speak to his manager. My goal wasn’t to make a scene, but to obtain clarification as to why my father wasn’t offered the same courtesy as the couple that ordered afterwards. Anna says to me that breakfast was over at 10:30 and whatever was left over would have been trashed anyway. I guess it wasn’t trash to be sold to the guests after us. I even asked Anna, if you were in my shoes, how’s would this look to you? She just looked at me and couldn’t answer. I want to make something clear, I did not approach her about this so I could get a complimentary desert or whatever it is they do to pacify customers when things go wrong. All she had to do was simply say I’m sorry, I should have checked. Or something to that effect. She could have even taken it a step further and asked me if she could check again to see if anything was available. But she had no words. I give 5 stars to Dan for giving that extra 5 seconds of effort for the customers. It seems as though the manager should take direction from the associate. Very sad. I happen to like paneras menu, but unfortunately the Selden location will mo longer receive...
Read moreI love Panera but this location has some issues. They have messed up orders before. Today (I know this is extra but..) I asked if the avocado could be smashed for my sandwich… because EVERY TIME I take a bite avocado falls out.. I like the BLT but I may stop getting it.. I don't want to feel like my lunch is a challenge. So they didn't do that, that's ok.. BUT I was sitting at the window for 12 min....(so probably 15-17min total that's a lot for a drive thru) I may just do pick up from now on. The car behind me left. Every item was messy.. soup on the container, a few pieces of avocado (the only pieces), and bacon that wasn't even on the sandwich. Clearly rushing... I get they may be short staffed, or busy inside...I can only imagine. This food isn't "fast" food.. which is why I like it and i'm sure its not easy to prepare. Maybe the company should come up with quicker prep for these types of stores or ensure they are properly staffed. I'm good, the staff is nice.. but hopefully this store gets some help (not consequence)...
