This place is decent for the catch. They have bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Where they can improve and where they should stay the same are very thin lines.
I dont recommend anybody order extra bagels for home unless you have a lot of people in your household, an appetite for many bagels, or both. I took home 3 bagels for myself and by the next day the bagel was already struggling. By day 3, even my bread knife practically bounced off the bagel with disrespect! So not the freshest bagels compared to other places. Only buy what you will eat that day.
Also, the prices are a bit higher than some other places. This doesnt bode well with a lack of overall freshness. One option that should be available if you order a breakfast sandwich is no potatoes for a lower price point. Neither myself, my friend, nor my brothers liked the potatoes all too much.
Also not a fan of who I think might be the owner? Not sure. An older guy, 40's or 50's. It's not that I'm not a fan of him, but rather his complaining. He always seems to be complaining about something business related. Last time it was him getting upset that people were calling the store. It's part of business my dude. Dont get upset that people want your food!
Now the breakfast sandwich is where they retain the score I'm giving out. That is fresh so maybe that helps it. The bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll or one of the bagels - eaten immediately is good. This has to be their biggest seller.
Overall, it's easy to dish out a 3 out of 5 and call it a day. I dont hate the place. They have some bumps on their road that they could work out. I've found my new bagel place that I'd rather go to but by no means does that mean I'll never come here again. I hope that when I do, I might start to see...
Read moreI want to preface this with I love the Strathmore franchise and I’ve been a patron for over 15 years. I recently moved locations and this is the closest location to my new home. The food here is delicious and on par with the other locations, my main complaint and why I’m giving this location a three star review is their phone service.
Normally I like to call my order ahead. Every time I try to call ahead at this location the phone rings forever and I never get an answer. Today, I tried to call ahead three times, with no avail. I traveled to the location and ordered my food. While waiting for my food, the phone rang and the older gentleman working the register literally called out to the other employees “let it ring”, and he then silenced the phones ringing. He wasn’t working (he was talking to a previous customer) and it wasn’t busy at all, there was no one in line and everyone aside from myself and the customer who was ahead of me had already been served. I can’t figure out why he chose to ignore the call, and I assume he also told the staff to ignore the ringing the three times I had tried to call prior to arriving there.
Again, nothing wrong with the food or the service of the workers there (they are pleasant and were just listening to the cashier’s lead), it rested solely on the cashier ignoring incoming calls which is a consistent inconvenience that I have never experienced at any other...
Read more30 years I've been a customer and so has my family. We all enjoy the service and their fresh bagels. Even live the fact we can pre order for holidays. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing, as well as their platters. Over never had anything worth saying bad about. Maybe once in a blue their sandwich might look messy or u might get a shell. But over all this is just normal workers just like us. It happens. The prices are about normal as to other bagel stores. But there's just something about these bagels that make me keep coming back. As well as my family. We've tried others especially since I've moved. Nope I'll drive to selden to get my bagels. Even my brother who moved 8 hours away will have me order here and bring them down with me. So I wanna say thank you for all your doing as well as thank you to your...
