Just got home from here. Not a good experience at all. We were seated at 5:30, table for two. Our order was taken after a reasonable wait time. Our drinks, water and Diet Coke came quickly. Our appetizer and salad also came in a reasonable amount of time. But then.....the wait began!!!! At 6:40 we were told our food should be out in a couple of minutes. At 6:50 we were told, after asking where our food was, that there was some kind of confusion and it was âbeing cooked nowâ. After I responded that this was not good business our waitress came back to our table and said the manager said we could have anything from the bar on the house. We were already drinking water and Diet Coke and said we would have already been drinking something else by then. She then offered dessert on the house, at which I replied, I donât know, letâs see what time it is by then. Around 7:00 our entrees finally arrived, minus the side order of tater tots that we ordered. They came about five minutes later. I also want to say that the restaurant was not full, there were a few empty tables. And, tables that arrived and ordered after we did were already finishing their meals. There was a private party going on in a back room. The meals were good, nothing more, nothing less. During our waiting we noticed the manager walking around the restaurant talking to customers at various tables. Not once did he approach our table to ask us how it was going. He knew!! We decided to not order dessert. As we were paying the bill, the manager finally arrived at our table. He was apologizing as he placed a business card on the table on which was written one free appetizer after 4 pm. He said we can use that the next time we come to the restaurant!!!!!! Ummmmm, you are letting a customer leave aggregated about the service and you are offering something for the NEXT time we dine there!! News flash, there will be no next time. Again, bad business! If you are offering a free appetizer next time, how about you take the appetizer we ordered tonight off the our bill...

I recently visited Sweet Mamaâs for their St. Patrickâs Day specials, and I can confidently say this is one of the best brunch spots around! From the moment I walked in, the cozy, welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made the experience even better.
Now, letâs talk about the food and drinksâbecause WOW! I started with their Shamrock Cold Brew Flight, which was a coffee loverâs dream, and the Sip the Rainbow Mimosa Flight, which was as delicious as it was beautiful! Every sip was perfectly balanced, and it was such a fun way to kick off brunch.
For food, I had their Pistachio Pancakes, and they were heavenlyâfluffy, slightly nutty, and topped with just the right amount of sweetness. The Lucky Charm Milkshake was a nostalgic treat, bringing back childhood memories with every sip! I also tried their Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, which was warm, comforting, and packed with flavor.
For something sweet, the Nutella & Banana Waffle was perfectionâcrispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with hazelnut goodness. The Burrata Avocado Toast was fresh and creamy, the Chicken & Waffles had the perfect balance of crispy and savory, and the Corned Beef Hash Benedict was a must-try for St. Paddyâs Day!
Not only was every dish beautifully plated, but the flavors were also spot on. You can tell they put a lot of love into their food!
Overall, Sweet Mamaâs is a 10/10 brunch spotâwhether youâre looking for fun, festive drinks, indulgent comfort food, or the perfect Instagram-worthy meal. If you havenât been here yet, youâre seriously missing out. Canât wait...
Read moreWe like to try places weâve never been before when we canât decide where to go. We go to the shopping Village a lot, weather permitting. It was suggested we try Sweet Mamaâs. It has a cozy country atmosphere with a small bar in back. They are also connected to an ice cream parlor. We started our lunch with the loaded potato skins. Not very good. The skins were not hot and they were mysteriously soggy on the bottoms? My wife had the crab cake sandwich which was more breading than crab cake. I had the country fried steak and eggs with savory grits and a biscuit which I thought was really good. The steak and gravy was good, the grits as they are named were savory and tasty. I was impressed with the biscuit that came with it. Never have I had a biscuit like it. When I asked the waitress about them she said âTheyâre fresh, I opened up a new bagâ. Bag I asked? Yes, theyâre not baked here, we get them from a bakery. That got me thinking about the potato skins. Hmmmm, fresh from the freezer? I know restaurants source out for certain things, Iâm not naive to think EVERYTHING is cooked or baked on site but things like potato skins and biscuits maybe should be? Maybe Iâm wrong. I even heard the other waitress say the ice cream comes from a place in Maine. Iâm sure itâs tasty and delicious. They were some interesting cocktails to choose from and lots of choices on the breakfast/lunch menu. Donât let my review keep you from visiting. Thereâs enough choices for any style appetite. Give them a try and see...
