This was my first visit to The MJ's Kitchen and yes I am giving it a 5 star review because today was a 5 star experience. Firstly, the restaurant is very nicely decorated and extremely clean. They have a digital menu board and pictures of most of their items around the digital board showing what items look like. They also had a few samples in an enclosed case outside - they are new so this is a nice strategy to bring in customers. The young lady at the counter was very nice, shared her suggestions when I asked her and the food came out when they said it would!
The food - ordered a large vegetable fried rice. It was very good, it had a hint of hibachi fried rice, cooked fresh and seasoned very well.
Ordered a Kani Crazy Bun - kani salad in a bun with spicy mayo! Delicious. The bun was lightly toasted and the kani salad was crunchy and not overpowered by spicy mayo.
Also ordered the Deep Fried Pork Cutlet Bento box which comes with a choice of fried egg, soft boiled egg or spring roll (2). This box had the fried egg! It also had fried rice (had choice of white rice). It also had steamed broccoli and carrots and a small amount of seaweed salad! The pork was cooked perfectly and had a very nice flavor to it - I can't place the taste of the batter in which it was fried with but it was good. The egg was fried nicely and it was a great compliment to the fried rice. The steamed broccoli and carrots were delicious - steamed so that they were soft to chew but firm that they were not soggy. Seaweed salad was fresh and delicious.
Lastly, we had the Black Pepper Steak Bento box. Same options as above but this we went with spring rolls! The rolls were crunchy and delicious. They were not overstuffed and the vegetables inside were slightly crunchy. The black pepper steak had onions cooked with it in a brown sauce. Steak was cooked nicely with just the slightest hint of black pepper. The white rice was traditional white rice you get at a Japanese/Chinese restaurant.
Overall an excellent first time and I will definitely be back. Reasonable prices for the menus, excellent service and delicious food. If you are in the area and are hungry and are looking to try something new - The MJ's Kitchen is a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at MJ's Kitchen, and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of their food and the warm hospitality. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and the chicken and vegetable soup, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The shrimp fried rice was perfectly cooked, with each grain of rice coated in a savory sauce and the shrimp tender and juicy. The chicken and vegetable soup was equally flavorful, with a rich broth and a generous amount of fresh vegetables. The service at MJ's Kitchen was also exceptional. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and she made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making for a perfect dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend MJ's Kitchen for anyone looking for a delicious meal. Their food is fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced, and the service is top-notch. I will definitely be returning to MJ's Kitchen soon! Call to Action: If you're looking for a great Chinese restaurant in the area, I highly recommend checking out MJ's Kitchen. You won't be...
