Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I am doing 3 stars strictly due to the fact that the only worker that myself and many other customers saw today, working themself ragged was Ayamae. She was slammed with orders yet the man on register was blissfully having a conversation through his ear buds while taking orders. Myself, having to correct him multiple times while taking my order because he couldn’t be bothered to remove his ear buds and listen to me. After about 15 minutes of waiting for 2 smoothies and a flat bread.. I spoke up and the other customers agreed. Ayamae needed help in the smoothie station. The man on register probably felt more compelled to go help her since everyone in the Cafe agreed with my statements. I left that store knowing that her feelings were validated. Workers need to be treated with respect and understanding. I am willing to bet that the man on register is the supervisor on duty but honestly should not even be in a position if he’s not willing to help his staff. Ayamae deserves recognition for working so hard and I hope to see her there the next time I come in! As i have been going to this location since I worked there...

I get the pomegranate punch all the time at a different location (rockypoint) and yet when I get it here at this location it literally taste like straight garbage. This isn’t the first time I’ve gotten a smoothie here where it taste horrible so I’ve just had enough and finally decided to go back and ask for a refund. All the girls were cursing and just fooling around in the back and when I asked for a refund they can’t give me a refund so when I ask for a different drink then bc they clearly can’t make the drink I want right they tell me I have to pay if it’s another type of drink. no shift leader or manager came to talk to me instead they sent the girl on register to talk to me while I saw eyes looking at me from the back some type of service you guys have going here… and if your shift leader or a manger can’t do their job maybe you should...

I went here for the first time with my mom, and all I can say was that it was horrible. I had the pesto flat bread- and although decent it tasted and was the same quality as a lean cuisine. Little bits of processed slimy chicken covered in a decent pesto sauce. The real issue was my mom's food. She got the chicken tacos. She had to send them back the first time since there was no salsa...and the second time it came out legitimately looking like slop. When she spoke with the manager all he said was that he eats them all the time and that they sell 400 of them a day..... So not only was the food grosser than the crap you can get at Taco Bell but the manager didn't care at all about the quality of his food or service. I am never- and I mean never- going back here but I'm sure my money won't be missed since they sell 400...
