I had a surprise birthday party/welcome home for my son who was deployed. We were a party of over twenty family members. There were no alcoholic beverages at all. Next thing I know I see my son with this security guard all over him. I quickly left the group to see what the problem was. I introduced myself and asked if something was wrong. He had my son's I D, military ID and was giving my son a hard time telling me that my son was drunk. I told the security guard to look around at all the people drinking that he was not bothering, but felt that he had to harass my son who is serving this country and who was not even drinking. None of us were drinking. I just thank God that I was there with the whole family, because I don't know what the security guard next move would have been toward my son who is African American and again serving this country. It was truly an insulting experience. It totally dampened his birthday. It was also his first day back from the service. Thank you VIVA JUAN FOR MESSING UP MY SON BIRTHDAY AND WELCOME BACK HOME. My bill was over $500, and I left a generous tip. The lesson here is even though they mistreated my son I didn't...
Read moreWhere to begin? This past Saturday I took my sister & dad to Viva Juan and left thinking they should change name to "Abajo Juan". Do not go there and waste your money. They are an insult to Mexican/Latin cuisine. We ordered the sweet plantains with cheese appetizer for $10.00 - what came out was 8-10 small slices (the equivalent of one plantain) thrown over a minuscule amount of shredded lettuce and a side of Philadelphia Cream Cheese? Are you kidding me?! They could had used Queso Blanco shredded over the plantains. In an effort to save money they lost a repeated customer. I had ordered the fajitas and the meat was way over cooked, my sister's plate was the same and dad could not even eat his. I did mention to the waitress that the meat was over cooked but she did not say much. This place has potential but to perhaps they think that since there is not much competition in the area they can fool customers with their want to be Mexican dishes. Way over priced for what you get and the Margaritas are watered down. Needless to say we will not be going there again or...
Read moreOrdered 4 meals there today to go . Phoned in the orders for pick up . Picked up the food and got it home to find the food just thrown together in the bag . . All 4 entrees in there containers were all mixed together like bag was dragged around the floor . Ordered a quesadilla that looked disgusting with some kind of red sauce smothered onto it with rice and beans mixed all around it , the quesadilla was soak and wet and Disgusting looking . Not to mention they forgot to give my wife the sangria that was ordered as well . My wife went back to store for a full refund on complete order that she was denied, unfortunately we payed with cash . They offered to remake the food but in all honesty after the 1hr of going back and forth we did not want it and neither did I trust feeding my kids something that the cook probably violated for having to remake it . $85 down the drain , never again for viva Juan!!!!this place shouldn’t even...
