Tonight was our first time at Longhorn Steakhouse and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a 10 if I could but sadly Google limits me to only 5 stars. We each got an appetizer, entrée, and a dessert. We each got the seasoned wings, longhorn 22 Oz steaks, and my brother and I each got the chocolate stampede, my husband got the chocolate lava cake.

Let me paint you a picture. We walked in and got seated immediately at one of the comfy booth seats. The nostalgic country music was playing, the lighting was perfect and the décor was nice as well. Our waitress, Ashley was very welcoming, attentive, funny, and sweet. She made the visit even better. Her attitude was top notch and honestly brought all of us joy.

The service is impeccable. We never had to ask for more soda, they saw when we were out and got us a refill. They gave us two loaves of the delectable bread then brought two more once those were gone. Before we left she gave us two more to go with the one that we had left over so in total we got 6 of those loaves of bread which were the size of my forearm.

The wings were great, my husband absolutely loved them. The hot sauce that they gave us on the side was amazing. We got our steaks medium and they were cooked to perfection. I got the steakhouse mac and cheese with bacon and fries for my side. My husband got the roasted corn and mashed potatoes. My brother got two sides of fries. Oh, my husband also got the Parmesan crust on his steak.

The steak itself was tender. They say that the ribeye is the most tender steak that they serve which I have no idea how you can get even more tender than what we were served tonight (but you best believe I’m trying it next time). Also, the fries were great but I want two servings of that mac and cheese next time. Especially with some of the cheese crust from my husband’s steak. Chef’s kiss.

Ashley brought us a giant bag and takeout containers for our food along with to go cups of our drinks. We didn’t even have to ask! For our drinks we got Pibb (basically Dr. Pepper), Diet Coke, and Coke Zero along with a strawberry lemonade. The lemonade was fantastic. Then we ordered our dessert. When I told her that we wanted separate chocolate stampedes she looked at us and asked if we were sure.

After we said yes she said she likes how we think. Now let me explain why she asked us if we were sure. The chocolate stampedes comes with two slices of the cake, mousse, ganache things and two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Oh my god…it was phenomenal. I could only get a few bites in before I decided to save the rest for home (I can’t wait to finish it later and tomorrow). I finished the ice cream there of course.

Ashley was super polite and she honestly made my night, no, my entire week. She’s awesome. Now, I’ve been to Texas Roadhouse and Outback Steakhouse but they do not compare to this lovely place. As I said before, this was our first time going to Longhorn Steakhouse and it 1000% won’t be our last. I don’t have a single complaint about this restaurant and would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone. It’s the one in Camillus near the Movie Tavern (you have to pass by Longhorn to get there).

P.S. Ashley, you were awesome! (As were the other staff when they interacted with us. Everyone was great, she was just the lady we interacted with...

Hadn't eaten at this restaurant for several years, but glad I stopped today for lunch as I had a great meal. I ordered the Chop Steak with a side of french fries. First to arrive was my drink with complimentary bread. The bread had a delicious yeasty honey-bran flavor which I enjoyed with some butter while waiting for my entree. The meat in the large burger patty was lightly packed, juicy, and cooked perfectly to order. The bordelaise sauce with mushrooms (I asked that the caramelized onions be omitted) was delicious and the fries were hot and crispy. Overall, a very enjoyable lunch at a very reasonable price. The interior of the restaurant is well appointed, and the service was outstanding. I will be back soon to try other items on their menu. UPDATE-1: Went to this Township-5 restaurant for Father's Day. The place was hopping but the management had plenty of staff on hand to handle the holiday crowd. We were seated immediately and received excellent service. I ordered The Longhorn, a 22-oz bone-in porterhouse. It was cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious. I was never tempted to use the A1 steak sauce available on the table because my steak was grilled with a tasty dry rub. All it needed was salt. It came with a crispy salad, bread and butter, and a side of french fries. A very substantial and pleasurable meal. UPDATE-2: I ordered a combination of a 6-oz sirloin steak and a half rack of barbecued ribs. The ribs would have benefited from being cooked longer to render more of the fat, but the taste was very good. The sirloin steak was exceptional. Very tender, lean, and perfectly cooked. As I noted previously for the porterhouse steak, a dry rub must have been applied before cooking, as the flavoring was delicious and I found no need to use a steak sauce. UPDATE-3: Had the grilled shrimp, but requested fries in place of the rice. There wasn't enough garlic in the garlic butter sauce so the shrimp were fairly bland. If I order this dish again, I will request some remoulade sauce for dipping the shrimp. My wife liked her burger and thought the toasted brioche roll and special burger sauce were excellent. I also enjoyed a Caesar side salad. UPDATE-4: Tried the Wild West Shrimp appetizer for the first time. The generous portion was enough for a meal and a very tasty one at that. UPDATE-5: Had the 6-oz sirloin again today, but this time I ordered sauteed mushrooms. They were delicious and will always be requested on future steak orders. I also had the chocolate stampede for dessert for the first time. One half of the portion is shown on the photo below as there's enough for two or more to share. Our server suggested we try the molten lava cake next time. Will do! UPDATE-6: Came for lunch and ordered one of the $9.95 (in 2024) lunch specials. I asked for the cheeseburger minus the bun with fries as the side. Delicious. UPDATE-7: Tried the firecracker chicken wrap. Very good with a nice dipping sauce. UPDATE-8: I had a tender, delicious 6-oz renegade sirloin steak on this visit, but my wife was disappointed in her burger which was...

Horrible experience today at Longhorn CAMILLUS. I’ve never ever experienced anything like this at any restaurant especially a chain restaurant. I’ve been to the busiest restaurants in NYC and I’ve never needed to wait 2 hours to get seated.

We came here for my boyfriends mom’s birthday for a party of 8, at 5:25pm 1/14/2023. The hostess puts the name down and told us it’ll be 45 minutes. An hour has passed and this point , there were two parties over 5 that have been seated. So we are checking and following up with the hostess who told us that those people are “call aheads”. Mind you, when we called to ask for reservations, they told us there weren’t any and they didn’t inform us there was a call ahead option either. So while we are waiting for over an hour at this point, more groups of people are in this waiting area now and are getting seated before us. We go up to the hostess again and asked when are we going to be seated?

So until we realized we have been waiting from 5;25pm to what was now 7:20pm, and many groups that did “call aheads” are being seated before us is when we asked for the manager because this was ridiculous. Of course the manager was USELESS. This lady was the most incompetent and helpless manager ever, she lacks customer service and understanding. How do you not even feel one bit apologetic that your hostess isn’t being organized with the seatings and also not one person has bothered to accommodate or check in with us - apologizing for the long wait time, and then ended up telling us that we can sit separately at the booths when we are here for a birthday dinner TWO HOURS AGO when you quoted us 45 minutes. How inconsiderate could management be? She basically gave us the option to take the separate seatings or we can keep waiting for however long.

After this interaction with this horrible manager lady, to keep waiting with no promising signs of movement, management completely cold and unapologetic for the wait time and for telling us 45 minutes and we have been here for 2 hours and no one wants to provide a solution or seat us. And to proceed to say that those people ahead of us “were waiting in their car”. Doesn’t matter -you see we have been SITTING IN THE RESTAURANT FOR OVER TWO HOURS. i’ve never seen such careless groups of workers - and manager who was no where to be found until we asked for her and was so rude and unhelpful. such a horrible experience. I’ve never dealt with this. Get a better wait time system and better service training for you managers and hostess.

Not even compensation was offered or a genuine apology - and even the manager who knows we’ve been waiting for 2 hours, she still wasn’t trying to help us get seated to the next available big table. Terrible customer service and horrible manager.Of course we left after wasting 2 hours...

TLDR - Trust me….too expensive and not well kept. Place looks great from the outside but is deff falling apart inside. Our visit starts with a party of 15 in front of us. The hostess must have messed up the seating because another staff member came over scolding her for seating issues. It was a bit harsh (maybe due tho) and something that should have happened behind closed doors. Seats were very uncomfortable, with a large rip in mine. I could feel the springs pressing against me as I sat. Silverware was also broken…specifically the knife. And would it kill them to give us a butter knife instead of forcing us to use steak knife’s for bread and butter…. Did not get any bread until our food was 5 min out, kinda annoying. But honestly, I prob shouldn’t have eaten any considering the state of the chopping board. My guess is we also ate chopping board particles, too. Food was good. Nothing special but deff up to par. Server was good and somewhat responsive. For the price you pay….totally not worth it. I expect a better dining experience. They need to get rid of those cutting boards and get new ones. I’m doubtful those would pass inspection. That was gross.

My hubby and I ate lunch at LongHorn today. Was pleasantly surprised with the tasteful decor. We had to wait a couple minutes at the check-in area since the hostess was busy writing something. She kept apologizing so I guess whatever she was writing was important🤷🏻‍♀️ No biggie. Our server, Christina, was very nice. She told us that the menu's flavors were bold (I believe that's the word she used) and if we didn't want that to let her know. Both my hubby and I had medium-well done steaks. His was cooked correctly but mine was more on the medium side. My husband's side was a baked potato. LongHorn considered the potatoes small so he received two. Very thoughtful!😃 I received a side of mushrooms, which were extremely salty. I'm not sure if that was the "bold" flavor Christina had mentioned, but Wow!😳 I love salt but the mushrooms were way too salty for my taste. Oh, almost forget. Loved the crusty loaf of bread and butter that we received before our meal. Overall, very nice experience. However, not sure if we'll be eating here again in the near futur due to my undercooked steak and oversalted mushrooms.
