My wife and I tried this for this first time last night. The food was good but maybe a little more bland than we're used to. I got the chicken madras and she got the chana chaat. Both were good. The rice was a little dry (precooked?). The crispy bread stuff they put on the table as a welcome is really good. Sauces were okay too. My wife loved the onion chutney. The samosa's were average. A meat option for samosa's might be a welcome addition to the menu. The menu, btw, has a lot of options. The restaurant looked clean and tidy. One way I decide if a place is truly clean and they really do keep things clean behind the scenes is I look at the ceiling. If light fixtures, duct work, vents, curtain rods, etc are gross or caked with cobwebs or greasy dust, you can bet money that the kitchen and food storage is also not clean. The light fixtures and vents here were spotless. However, and this is why I deducted a star, the bathroom was filthy. The fixtures, door, and handle had some kind of white slime on them. It looked like a painter was trying to get away from a serial killer in there. The place was empty except for a table of 4 when we got there around 6:30PM on a Thursday. No staff at the front desk and we had to wait a few minutes for staff to come out from the back and see us. That was a little bit awkward but not a big deal. It was pretty chilly in there and my wife kept her coat on through the meal. Service was okay. The server was friendly enough. Food came out in a reasonable time frame and the server followed up with us numerous times. One note I hope they read is that, with real linen tablecloths and napkins (which is really nice btw), the expectation of the customer might be that staff is dressed more as servers. Our sever was dressed casually and looked like a customer. Not a huge deal but sprucing up, if even with just a cheap black apron, might be a super easy way to set it apart from mediocre places. Just a thought. Prices are reasonable.

My first visit to this Township 5 restaurant was an enjoyable one. I had for years frequented India House in Liverpool and its downtown predecessor, Taste of India. Unfortunately, Indian House recently closed their doors and we are now looking for another restaurant where we can enjoy our favorite Indian dishes. Although the food here is very good, two items fell short of my expectations, the poori bread and the pistachio kulfi ice cream. From the internet, it appears that the garlic naan is made on site and it receives positive reviews. Next time. As a nice touch, the restaurant provided a basket of papadum with three sauces. For an appetizer, my wife and I decided to split an order of aloo gobi masala. This, combined with our main courses of lamb tikka masala and lamb rogan josh comprised a very enjoyable meal, and we had leftovers to take home. The service was outstanding. We will return. UPDATE-1: On our second visit, I had the lamb tikka masala again, but this time I requested medium-hot masala sauce, and ordered it with garlic naan. An excellent meal. My wife tried something new. The special chicken cheese masala was outstanding. UPDATE-2: I ordered an appetizer of fried peppers. The menu warned that the dish was hot. What they really meant was that the dish was very, very, very hot. The peppers were enclosed by a delicious crunchy well-seasoned coating which initially covered the heat. However, by the time I finished one of the two peppers, I was experiencing a four-alarm fire. I immediately ordered a Kingfisher beer and had some of the naan bread we had ordered. Once the heat came under control, I added small bites of the coated peppers to my masala sauce as I ate my main dish. My wife ordered the chicken saag and shared some of it with me. We both loved it. UPDATE-3: Tried two new dishes, mango chicken and chicken tikka masala. Both were excellent, but I prefer the masala sauce which I've had previously with lamb.

Absolutely exceptional food, but the waiter was VERY rude, curt and unprofessional. He STARED at you when you asked for anything, giving you a very rude glare like you were putting him out. We had the fan blowing on us, which felt good because it was a humid day out and he turned it away from us, not giving us a reason, even though we said it felt really good. He interrupted me a few times when I was speaking or asking him about something, like I was wasting his time. We didnt even know if he got our full orders, because he only appeared to be half listening. Good memory, because he DID know and delivered what we wanted and didn't need a paper to write it on, but he wasn't kind at all, and didn't ask us how our food was, he just didn't care and it felt like he just didn't really want to be at work today. I get it, times are tough and depressing now, and a lot of days I don't want to work either, but when you work with the public, you at least have to pretend you're happy and that you enjoy serving people, as hard as that can be. Sure, I may be back for the food because it's just THAT good, but the customer service REALLY needs to improve. Until then, I'm keeping the 2 stars.

Hello everyone! Today, I want to share my incredible dining experience at Indian Dosa Grill in Syracuse, New York.

The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the warm, inviting ambiance that immediately sets the tone for an authentic Indian meal. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every customer feels right at home.

Now, let’s talk about the food – the star of the show! Their dosas are absolutely spectacular – perfectly crispy on the outside, with a delicious filling that’s bursting with flavor. Whether you go for the classic Masala Dosa or one of their creative variations, you’re in for a treat.

Their buffet is another highlight. It offers a wide variety of dishes, from rich curries to fragrant biryanis, and even freshly made tandoori specialties. Each dish is seasoned to perfection, giving you a true taste of Indian cuisine.

And of course, a shoutout to the chef Micheal for curating such an exquisite menu. Every bite reflects a dedication to authentic flavors and quality ingredients.

For anyone in Syracuse looking to explore Indian cuisine or revisit a favorite spot, Indian Dosa Grill should be at the top of your list. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their amazing dishes. Highly...
