Me and my girlfriend use to visit this BWW often. Food was always good. Always served hot. We prefer to do takeout.
This was a while back (I thought I left a review but apparently not. I do remember filling out a form on BWW website but never got a phone call or email. Maybe my complaint went to the manager I dealt with and she deleted it.)
Anyways, don't remember the exact day but many months ago we placed our order on the BWW app. Went there to get it. Was there before the order was completed but sometimes it finishes early. Went inside, no it's not done. No problem. Went back out to my car to wait. The time it was suppose to be done by, went back inside. Still not done. I waited around for a bit and it finally came out. Now that's completely fine, I understand places are short staffed and stressed when busy. I get out to my car and check my order, mistakes happen so I always check before heading home. Looking around and picking things up, everything is barely warm. I open a thing if wings, touch to my lip and it's almost cold. I hand them to my girlfriend to check, yep she says they are cold as well. I check other items, everything is barely warm or cold. Definitely didn't just come out.
I head back inside and mention it to one of the staff. She goes back into the kitchen. The manager comes out, a female but not sure her name. I explain how I waited for my order, checked it in the car and it's all cold like it had been sitting out. She at first claims it wasn't sitting out so thats impossible it's cold (mind you, she has a slight attitude about her). Going back and forth a bit as I get more heated, she then slips up saying the lady is training so it may have sat for a couple minutes but not long enough for it to be cold. She also tells me she can remake the entire order but it'll be like 30-40 minutes, says they are too busy. Well...first of all when you have a complaining customer, that should be the next order to come out. Not make them wait because you don't want to deal with them. My initial online order wasn't even 30-40 minutes INCLUDING my extra wait because it supposedly wasn't done on time. She takes my food in the back to "check it herself" and comes back claiming it all feels hot to her and brings me a couple coupons to use on my next visit. No refund offered. No immediate remake offered, just if I wanted to wait up to 40 minutes. I strongly expressed my displease with her and how she handled it and left. Got home and air fried ALL of our food since it was all ice cold by that time. We only live 10 minutes away and normally ordering from this BWW, it's still very hot when we get home. But for it to be barely warm in the parking lot and the attitude and lack of customer service given by the manager was absolutely ridiculous.
This was the absolute worst experience and I never returned to this BWW after this.
When the BWWGO opened in Cicero, I was excited. Have ordered food there several times since they opened, the staff there has always been friendly and not a single problem on an order yet. I had to wait like 5 extra minutes on an order because my boneless wings were still cooking but even that little wait, all my food was still very hot.
Unless you're absolutely set on a dine-in experience, I recommend BWWGO in Cicero. Don't deal with the manager who shouldn't be in a customer service field with her attitude and no care...
Read moreIt was my fiancés birthday. This was our first time dining here and was hoping to get a great experience. We were told it was a 15 minute wait. Cool no problem. We were seated very quickly. Asked if we could get a booth seat. We were told there weren’t any booth seats. Fine no problem. We ordered our drinks. I told the waitress it was my fiancés birthday. She told him happy birthday. I ordered a Long Island and my fiancé ordered a strawberry margarita. Waited about 15 minutes before the waitress came with our drinks. My drink was incorrect and she stated she had to return to get the correct drink. She came back apologizing stating she accidentally grabbed another customers drink. We ordered Chicken nachos. A hour went by before the waitress brought the nachos. After eating a few chips we noticed there was barely any condiments on the nachos and they were very stale. It was as though they put enough to cover the top but underneath was two pounds of stale chips. The waitress stated she thought the chips were not stale but still took The nachos and they were removed from our order. The food was brought out shortly after. It was very good. In the middle of our service another waitress came to our table. She did not introduce herself she just asked if we needed anything. Although she was nice we were confused as to why our waitress changed in the middle of our service. I asked her what happened to our previous waitress and we were told that she went on a break. A waitress behind us then did a happy birthday shoutout to two customers providing them with cake. I told my fiancé that I wondered if his would happen for him speaking that today was his birthday and we had already told our previous waitress about this. But as our night continued and we got our check this did not happen. I tried to tell the waitress about our experience there but she interrupted me stating she had to get the manager because she was not the manager. When the manager arrived I explained everything to her stating that I did not want my meal for free but simply wanted to explain the service we received. When asking her about the birthday shot outs she stated that they do not do birthday shout outs like that and that there was an exception made. She apologized asking if I wanted any coupons I told her no because we wouldn’t be returning. Not only did that happen but after she took my card to pay for a bill, someone at the bar did the same exact happy birthday shout out as the previous waitress and when she returned she gave me coupons stating I could use them for when we returned after I told her we wouldn’t. We left the coupons at the table, paid for our food and left feeling very disappointed. We felt very discriminated against. The worst service do not eat here especially if...
Read moreI may be a wee bit biased because my friend works there. But I really enjoy having dinner there.
Specifics; I like the decor. It's very peaceful, which is not to say it's boring. I enjoy not having glaring colors, neon, intermittent lighting (blinking, flickering, think Christmas lights). The chairs are comfortable. All the food, and even the initial set up with flatware and napkins, etc. comes on a tray. If you spill your drink, which I would never do (wink), at least the napkins don't get sopping wet immediately.
As for the food, which, to be honest, is secondary to me, it is exactly what you'd expect; mostly meat. I'm not much of a meat eater, but there are still several vegetarian options, and several of the sides are vegan. I am, unfortunately for my waistband, partial to the onion rings. They are very good, not super salty or oily. And the onions inside the tubes of batter, are super yummy, IMHO.
I have never ordered delivery service from there, but they seem to have a good set up.
The pace is good. The prices are reasonable. I feel like I can finish my meal in peace and take the time I need to to digest is some kind of a reasonable fashion.
Sports aren't really my favorite thing, but it's definitely got a sports bar feel, multiple games on all around the rooms. The important thing from my point of view is that the TVs are installed out of the way. You must deliberately look to see the TVs. No glare or flashing lights. Further, the volume is not obnoxiously loud. You can tell people are following the games, but not loudly, for example the whole room cheering loudly at the same time. You see first bumps, high fives, and "Yes!" gestures, but that's about the extent of it.
Every time I go, it's really pleasant. And when what I really need is to get out and not to cook, maybe sit down and do some organizing, make lists, whatever, that's precisely...
