well, as i see lots of favorable reviews this will not be one of them. I have food allergies and special needs. I asked the hostess, if they coul accomedated. She said yes.
I have food allergies to many items, all i asked was, can my eggs, be plain and scrambled in a pan alone, in real butter away from the other items on the grill. I also asked for real half and half. ( i dont eat chemical foods, and the cream for the coffee was those long shelf life mini creams that dont need refridgeration) Our waitress, was pleasant as said, yes, we ca do that, we have real cream in the fridge. The waitress, went to the fridge to pour a bit of (Crowley Half & half) and the manager.... i assume "DAVE" pulled her aside and told her NO... we dont do that sort of thing. Make her use the pre measured, chemical half and halves. he glared at us, as if we were making his morning a big inconvience. All he had to do was come over, and be pleasant and state, sorry we dont accomodate people with food allergies. Instead, he kept snarling from across the fryer area. We asked our waitress, if there was a problem, and she said yes, he wont let me get you the half and half - so we left. I am not the only person out there with chemical sensitivities. He was more concerned with pushing the customers thru like cattle, instead of serving the "real" food -yes its easier and cheeper - for them to serve the chemical foods. We would have paid extra, all i wanted was 2 plain eggs, and white bread. Dave's Diner, has no idea what its like to treat people with respect. In my mind, that was BIG time discrimination against special needs - shame on you Dave. Seriously, u couldn't prepare plain eggs and...
Read moreThis is a very busy place. You need to find parking as this is not the only business in the area. There is a good size sitting area when you first enter, where you could order drinks and hang out or wait for a table. The place is clean and the atmosphere is comfortable/ casual. We were a party of four adults and a child, having a 'goodbye for the winter' brunch. We waited approximately forty-five minutes without reservations in the sitting area before being moved in the back area to a table. It was very nice, loads of natural light. The menu featured a lot of options. The staff were friendly and prompt. The food was served in an efficient time and everyone enjoyed their meal. No complaints. Great job Dave's Diner on the home made food, service. I will definitely go again...
Read moreWe tried going there for lunch but we walked in with our 2 year grandchild and were told it would be about 10-15 minute wait. BUT they proceded to seat the couple that came in at the same time as out trio! I asked why they couldnt seat us but could seat the other people? She said because we needed a high chair and i said no we dont she can sit in a chair. She shrugged her shoulders and sat the other people! I looked into the section that was open(3/4 of restaurant was empty) and there 4 tables open, one was a 6 seater! Apparently we were too dark skinned to eat at their restaurant! Or they dont like kids! Either way I'll never go...
