Worst experience at a Denny's restaurant ever. First thing we waited 15 mins to be seated, waitresses all over the place just looked at us and walked by, only one acknowledge us but never seated us. Second, we finally was seated, waited for our waitress Melissa B., Another 15 minutes, took our drink order and food order, finally came with drinks, she forgot my coffee and brought my husband a half of a cup of coffee. Our food came out and another person brought it to the table, plopped it down in front of us and I asked for syrup and she brought it back and slammed it in front of my husband's face. I was shocked All I could do was laugh. We never saw our waitress again until we had to yell across the room for our bill and she came over and asked if I wanted milk, I said no, we need our bill. Next came checking out, waited for the cashier to get a customers take out order in which the cashier had no idea what she was doing, all the while the lobby was filling up with people coming and checking out. Granted it was a Sunday but our waitress had 3 tables, never came back to check on us and acted like she couldn't move or didn't get enough sleep, she also brought the table next to us the wrong order. We couldn't understand why both cash registers weren't being used, there were plenty of employees working for the amount of customers there. So needless to say we won't be back to...
Read moreFirst, I love Denny's. Glad Front st. is still here, I enjoy the Super Slam. I am usually an early morning or over night visitor. I have a favorite booth.
On a Saturday afternoon, I felt like breakfast and walked in. Everyone was busy so I noticed the section that was open and sat down at "my" booth. It was a mistake. I waited in no hurry. 10 min later the manager was walking by tables inquiring. She said hi and kept moving by, no food or drink at my table. When I started to talk, she stopped and walked back. I explained my situation and she looked confused. I apologized if I overstepped and asked if I should have been asked to be sat, she nervously said yes and walked away, later with a menu. I again apologized while she walked away without much of word, still looking flabbergasted.
I left.
A proper and gracious manager, or server, could have said, No problem, can I get you a beverage? Someone will be right with you.
Still love Denny's. Will just stick with the overnight...
Read moreWe went there on May 22 around 10pm. The waitress was initially very friendly. Things suddenly became weird. Our order was completely wrong. She brought things we did not order. Then she said we could keep the extra stuff free of charge but we did not want it. She was very rude, unresponsive and did not pay attention to what we were saying. She sat on a near booth with other patrons and was arguing with them (not sure if they were friends but it seemed like it). At the end the receipt came with the wrong items and they overcharged us. In sum, it was very unpleasant. I’m giving it a 3 because I like Denny’s and want to give some feedback so that you guys can improve. Best!
and she knowingly served us the wrong order and said I can take it back for you if you want. For me to wait another hour!? No thanks. Not to mention during the time I was there this guy kept walking in and out complaining about someone being late to their shift. This was honestly the worst dining experience I...
