My partner and I love Moe's, and have two of them near us, in our home state of Vermont. Going on a summer road trip, we decided the Moe's In Binghamton would be a fine place to stop for dinner.
Our typical experience in our home state includes friendly and competent staff, and delicious food. We go to Moe's at home maybe twice a month because we love the food so much. However, this Moe's was a complete disappointment.
While the staff was friendly enough, it seemed as though there was only one seasoned employee at the store, and the rest were new hires, possibly during their first week at the restaurant.
Then there was the food. Every time we go to Moe's we look forward to the Guac. It's probably one of the best parts of any Moe's meal. However in Binghamton, they apparently don't believe in using salt or seasoning in their food, so the guacamole tasted like a bland avocado frosting with tomato chunks, and the chips tasted like bland cardboard without. Beyond just this, it was clear they hadn't used any of their rice for the day, so it was completely dry on the top. So when we bit into our burritos we were constantly wondering whether the hard things we were chewing was bone dry rice, or the actual bones of the former employees of this Moe's. Additionally, while both my partner and I love spice in our food, the Pico was incredibly spicy, and drowned out the flavor (not that there was much between the bland guacamole and gravel rice) of the rest of the burrito.
I'm giving two stars instead of one because the staff was reasonably friendly and nice, and because they had the cool touch screen...
Read moreI waited ten minutes to be served and I was second in line. The employee started to make online orders before waiting on the people in the store. I asked why, they became combative with me and the lady who was first in line, who I was not with, was becoming just as frustrated. The next part is the best. they told us we could leave if we don't like what they are doing. What they were not doing was customer service and they were being called out on it. The other people in line were in awe, they could not believe what they were hearing. So, this lady left and the three people I was with also left. I would say that was easily 60 dollars that those employees just cost the owner. I wonder if the owner, Mr. Wilson, is aware his employees are asking paying customers to leave. I guess times must be good at Moe's when you can ask customers to leave. I had a great lunch next door at Jersey Mike's. I dropped $50 dollars there. will not be visiting Moe's again. Larry, too bad you don't know what is going on in...
Read morePrompt service but I really wasn't busy. Very friendly and accommodating server the young man was attentive and did what I asked him to do regarding the ingredients. I hadn't been to Moe's in quite some time as in three and a half years ago when they first open because I was overcharged and I have blocked the location out of my mind so much until I nearly went downtown Binghamton to to get a taco because my wife had a craving happy wife happy life you know. I mean I have blocked Moe's Southwest Grill so far out of my mind even though I visit that Plaza frequently to me Moe's did not exist. I have renewed my interest after a hiatus of 3 years blocking it out of my mind and I will visit the place again the two tacos we're reasonably price and I did enjoy the...
