Went here for the 1st time with my family on Friday October 11th 2024 for my mom's birthday. located in a small strip mall, may look odd from the outside, but the inside is gorgeous! it is a small restaurant. Since it is a small restaurant, you may have to wait a while. we got greeted by the hostess, who told us that there was a 30 minute wait, and most of the tables were full. We waited by the bar, and had a drink while we waited. the bartender was very insightful, and made really good drinks. We asked if they had cherry vodka, but the bartender recommended Ciroc red Berry vodka, which is in their strawberry lemonade drink. We started with 3 Ciroc Red Berry Vodka with sprite. they were very good. Before you know it, it must have been maybe 20/15 minutes, our table was ready. before leaving and paying with the bartender, my dad got the strawberry lemonade drink. They also have lots of speciality cocktails, such as an pumpkin expresso martini, and more! We then sat at our table, and our server was very nice, and greeted us right away. We got 3 waters, and i got strawberry lemonade drink for myself. We decided on some appetizers, we got the pretzel's, and spinach dip. I and my mom, thought the Pretzel was going to be stuffed with cheese and the meat. When it came, it was on top, but that can be a good thing-- because i tried the Pretzels and thought it wasn't bad. i definitely enjoyed the spinach dip more. We ordered our entries, and our server was great about giving us time to decide what we wanted, and told us the specials, such as another salmon with an extra sauce. I got the Seafood Fri Diablo, my dad got cajun pasta with sausage, and my mom got some chicken dish. Server did a good job checking on us, and refilling our waters if needed. I also used the women's bathroom, and it was very clean- single stall though. We all enjoyed our food, and took home some of the spinach dip, my seafood fri diablo, and both my mom and dad's meals. Only issue was that fri diablo is a bit spicy and when i tasted the pasta, it gave off a bit of a spice taste. However, there was plenty of clams, shrimp, calamari, and scallops to eat, and those hit the spot! next time i would ask to make the fri diablo milder. Overall great food! Our server supplied us with the check, paid via credit card, and left a cash tip. Hope to be back...
Read moreWe have lived here for 2 years, TWO YEARS, and I am upset at ourselves since we didn't stop at this place until today!
I have read the recommendations on Facebook groups and I have even seen the ratings on google but I am not sure why we didn't stop here until today. It's not like we live in a different location, we live in Chester.
Anyway, this place is amazing! Love the clean homey feel of the dining area and the server made you feel at home as well. She was very attentive and was on top on ensuring we were okay, if we wanted refills, and if we were satisfied with our meal.
Service and atmosphere aside, the food was amazing! I love the sriracha honey wings! Some of the best wings I've ever had! Had some crispy bits on the outside, juicy on the inside and the seasoning and sauce were on point!
I had pasta, I don't remember the exact dish name but it was shrimp with chopped up spicy sausage in a cajun type sauce. So good! Had a nice little kick to it but not too crazy even though I can handle crazy. Everything about my meal was overall great. Hubby had the buttermilk batter chicken sandwich but I didn't get a taste of it (was too full from my own dish) but I did try his fries which were really good too! He had stated that it was a good sandwich but the bread to chicken ratio was a bit off. He loved the bread but it was too thick for the chicken. He said it had a mayo type sauce which was good as well.
We noticed that they have a bar as well.
We will have to bring our son with us the next time as he's as much of a foodie as we are and we both know he'd love it like we did.
Great spot for families, date night, or just to hang out for...
Read moreIf you have food allergies you might want to reconsider risking Christopher’s. We had dinner here recently on a Friday night and we were seated at a high top in the bar area. Our server was also the bartender. When we ordered our appetizers my husband said he was gluten free. The server told us that they had gluten free pasta but not gf bread. He was ordering one of the salmon dishes with rice and vegetables, so we thought it was a safe choice. When dinner came his salmon was covered in deep fried onions. When we questioned the server if they had a batter on them she looked confused and said they did. We pointed out that his dinner was supposed to be gluten free! She became defensive and said we didn’t remind her he was gluten free!! She offered to have them remake it but we lost all confidence in the preparation. The menu clearly states to alert the server about any food allergies and we did that. A person with Celiacs becomes severely ill when gluten is ingested and must rely on the integrity and knowledge of their servers. Management at Christopher’s may want to consider retraining the staff on food allergy protocol. I’d like to note that after reading the review, Katie the owner, contacted me to see how the situation could be made right. She assured us that the staff would be spoken to about the incident and that they take food allergies seriously. My recommendation would be to speak to a manager about your food allergy before you order so that the correct precautions can be taken. My appreciation to Katie for taking the time...
