I have been wanting to visit this particular location for 15-20 years. My friend from college always made it known that Duff’s was the best in Buffalo and that is where he would return every time he visited home. I suffered through many years of photos and stories of how wings “Should” be prepared and what “Authentic” Buffalo sauce really should taste like. His pictures and stories were always mouthwatering and finally after many years I lived close enough that a 5 hour trip was justifiable for chicken wings.
The location was great. Love the original locations and especially one in an older mall. Plenty of parking and very low thrills. Being from Pittsburgh, exactly what I want out of a sports bar. Darker, darker woods, plenty of TV’s and variety of seating selections. Seating and service was fast.
Of all the stuff on the menu, which looked great,I was there for the wings. I ordered some medium and some hot, fries, blue cheese and ranch. Wings took about 15 mins so I knew they were not pre-dipping. The colors were exactly what I want out of a Buffalo sauce. Bright orange with that butter shimmer and my salivary glands started going. First bite of hot and the vinegar immediately hit before anything else. Once the cycle started, I just couldn’t stop. Wings were rendered perfectly, not dry, not gummy, not undercooked. They just have it down as far as timing. The hot was just enough and the medium was a little too medium. The surprise was how good the fries were as well.
If I didn’t have to roll I could have taken down another 10, but needed to get on the road. I will definitely be back, and I have lived in 9 different states and visited probably another 20. Duff’s ranks very high on my chicken wing list, top three without a doubt. Definitely will be...

I leave reviews wherever I go because I appreciate when others leave reviews. And I was truly expecting to leave the best review ever because the other Duff’s I went to last time I was visiting Buffalo was amazing.
First of all let me say this: The service was greatly hindered primarily because of the OWNER’S own DAUGHTER. Yep, I said it. She came in and started venting extremely loudly (unnecessarily loudly) to my server about something, but the issue was that my server was AT WORK. Meaning she had people at the bar to tend to, me being one of them. I saw my server looking over at me semi-pitifully as though she needed help getting out the conversation. When she finally came back over to take my order (not even exaggerating that it was about a 7-10 minute conversation while I was just sitting staring at them) she apologized whispering that “she always talks for long periods of time, but it’s the owner’s daughter ” . Look, I get where my server was coming from for just wanting to keep her job, but at the same time, as the customer, I couldn’t care less who ‘the owners daughter’ is. If anything, she appeared to be a grown woman to me, meaning she should realize that customer service for your father’s business should come before girl talk. Or at minimum, take it in back of house.. come on.
Food-wise: I ordered the garlic parmesan wings just like last time. When I got home and opened the box the wings were completely different. Hardly any sauce. Just some soggy buffalo wings with a few pieces of parmesan sprinkled on top. Last time my sisters and I got garlic parmesan it was a true SAUCE on the wings. Completely different look and flavor.
Would nottt come to this location again. Might not even risk getting wing’s...
Read moreWhat a disappointing experience! The food was bland, The Beef on weck was absolutely tasteless. As if they bought it from a store frozen kind of warmed up with no seasoning no spices and just put it in a bun. The boneless wings were dry and extremely tasteless with the Cajun garlic sauce that had ZERO flavor; frozen chicken nuggets from any grocery store taste juicier and better. I seldom leave anything other than a five-star review. I'm not sure what's going on with this restaurant or how it even stays in business It is that bad! What an absolute waste of money! However, they do give a 10% veterans discount, which they should be definitely commended for! They actually care about people that serve instead of take!
I stand corrected I looked at the receipt, I was wrong in my description above: Spicy Garlic Parm was the sauce supposed to be on the dry overly done boneless wings. The owner responded expeditiously to this review. I did NOT bring my distaste to anyone's attention at the restaurant as I had a VA Doctor's appointment and I was on a time constraint from being out of town. Plus I'm not used to ever complaining at any restaurant, as a Google Maps top 10% reviewer of restaurants. I eat, pay my tip and move on. No drama. I am raising my 1 start to a 3 because of how responsive owner is to negative feedback! THANK YOU for your expeditious response to my review! You should be commended for that! I ordered the beef dish because I had read that it is slow cooked and with rub. The beef had no rub and was at room temperature when served. It wasn't bad or inedible although as a Marine...
