We had a chance to try Immersive Gamebox on the fly so I did not go in with any research or expectations. Located on the 4th floor of the Palisades Mall, a couple of minutes walking from the Target entrance past the theater, an open fluorescent light filled space greets you. One "gamebox" is in view so if you like being a model for the experience, go for this game room. We were warmly greeted by Alex and Penny at the podium. Alex patiently helped us select an experience suitable for two adults and two kids (pro tip, age guidance indicator on the website is loose), told us about the complimentary lockers on the right before setting up our box and escorting us in. I thought we might be literally jumping over physical obstacles like escape room type experiences but the games are played out across three interactive walls. If you tend to get car sick be warned; you'll be "moving" through digital screens. You play the game via sensors on a sanitized helmet. It's like a full body video game. Thirty minutes will fly by (unless you get motion sick). We enjoyed blasting ghosts and solving puzzles in the Ghostbusters challenge. With the exception of the driving challenge most of the tasks were pretty responsive to the sensors. A camera mount and shelf for beverages are throughtfully provided inside each box. Soft drinks and Dasani water are available for purchase (would be nice to have healthier options than high fructose corn syrup beverages). Immersive Gamebox is a fun way to combine "digital" and physical activity- definitely a fun...

Immersive Gamebox has been catching my eye since this summer when they weren’t even opened yet but the signs were showing what was coming. When I saw that Yelp was providing an opportunity for Elites to give it a whirl, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
When we arrived, there was a nice worker who was accommodating when we wanted to add an additional participant. He explained everything well and helped us get started.
The game itself is SO FUN! The technically itself was cool to interact with and use.
We did Alien Aptitude and Squid Games. The Alien Aptitude were 4 challenges that we have to get scored on. The only downfall is that there could have been more challenges for less amount of time each. It became repetitive. Squid Games has 6 games. It was fun and reminiscent of the show. The challenges were in fact … challenging for us! It did motivate us to keep going though because we wanted to succeed.
Overall, if you’re looking for something fun to do at the mall that is activity based, I...
Read moreThis Immersive Gamebox is located in Palisades Center Mall on the 4th level near eateries and entertainment. Reservations made online are highly recommend as they book up pretty fast especially on the weekends. Checking in was easy at the kiosk stations which includes a waiver, standard for actively involved businesses. Complimentary lockers are also available for use for excess belonging like jackets and other unnecessary items in gameplay. They provide a couple of tables and seating for people waiting or having a beverage after a game.
There are a number of games to select from that ranges from 30 to 60 minutes. You can choose to combine 2 games in a session for a total of 90-minutes. Staff are absolutely friendly and informative providing excellent instructions.
There are a total of 6 Gameboxes at this location. If considering booking the extra time, I absolutely recommend it. Choosing to break up sessions to have a meal in between is also a possibility.
We enjoyed our session and loved the push...
