Ordered here two nights in a row. First night we ordered the white garlic pizza and a salad, amazing.
Second night, we decided to order the same due to a lot being closed for the holiday and food was good. Went to go pick up my order and when I pulled up a man was smoking a cigarette outside. I saw him throw his cigarette on the ground and walk back into the pizza place right in front of me. He walked directly behind the counter and started touching food items from the containers (salad items) with NO GLOVES on and did NOT wash his hands. I was beyond disgusted by the whole situation and I watched the guy at the register say " you need to wash your hands." The guy proceeded to do that but used a dirty towel by the sink. Luckily my order online accidentally was ordered at their other location which sucked due to have to drive to get it, but I was semi relieved my food was not touched by gloveless, no handwashing employee.
I hate writing bad reviews because I know they result in people being fired, but man that is a huge health violation. The pizza was so good but idk if I can stomach going back. Read moreOrdered online: pepperoni pizza, sampler appetizer, fettuccine Alfredo. All of these things were options on their online menu. Was pleased when the driver pulled up in 30 minutes, except they did not bring the pizza or Alfredo. The driver went back to get the pizza and I called when I saw they put riggies or some other type of pasta dish with my order instead. Was told they did not have Alfredo and I requested a refund. THEY DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS!!!. So you are left paying for whatever they decide to give you. The driver did return with the pizza 35 minutes later. I spoke to a manager today and was told they had Alfredo sauce, just not fettuccine pasta, yet riggies were sent instead of just putting the ordered sauce on whatever pasta. Again I was told that they can not give refunds and was given a credit I won't use, as I won't be ordering again because now it's just too many times where things have been wrong and they respond with a credit for next time. No thank you. It is unfortunate that the customers don't matter because their food is really good. Read moreI've been to Gino & Joe's Pizza several times and honestly the food is really good, a little expensive but you get for what you pay for.
Recently I ordered online and my order was never delivered. This was not Gino and Joe's fault however the agencies they contracted to do their deliveries did not communicate with them, nor deliver the food.
When i called Gino and Joes they were super nice and explained what had happened which i understand they cant really control. However i think the vast majority of people stopped using door dash and other food delivery services for this very reason, because the quality of the service is never consistent and often times questionable.
I now have to wait until the charges post so that I can charge back the charge on my card as was the venders advice. It's not a huge deal just frustrating and something else i have to remember to do while going about a very busy time at work/school.
I would caution other vendors from using food delivery services as it introduces a variable you cannot control but directly reflects on...
