I seem to be the outlier here... Everyone raves about this place. Well I'm from Brooklyn and I never had a pastrami sandwich as cold and tasteless as the one I ordered there. Lot of meat but I could have went to the grocery store and bought a pound pastrami. I'm just used to real pastrami cooked locally, hot and fat and greasy and tasty. This was kind of bologna type pastrami. My wife ordered a Reuben and basically the same response... It wasn't hot at all, a Reuben that's not hot and buttery and juicy, loaded with sauerkraut and cheesy, to me. That's not a real Reuben type but and again, what do I know. On vacation in June, my husband and I visited Bodega 524 and were so impressed with the sandwiches! He had the Muffaletta and I ordered the Rat Pack (created my own) which was sour dough, roast beef, pastrami, provolone, spinach, olive salad and Italian spice blend.
