Poke N’ Ramen That vibrant spot, Poke N’ Ramen, nestled in the Colonie Center food court, finally got my attention! I’ve walked by it countless times, and today, the curiosity won. First impressions? Their customer service is truly exceptional. The staff was incredibly welcoming, super helpful, and answered every question I had without the slightest hesitation. Great people are clearly running this great poke spot. We started with the Mango Tea with Strawberry Boba, and it was honestly excellent. The mango flavor was perfectly present—sweet but never cloying, striking a beautiful balance. To hit a perfect 10, though, I’d need a slightly more unique flavor profile. 7/10 Moving on to the food, I ordered the Kani Salad, which featured imitation crab, spicy mayonnaise, and chives (or green onions). This one was just okay for me. I’m not a big fan of the imitation crab texture, and frankly, the dish needed significantly more sauce to elevate it. 5/10 For my entree, I wanted to try something outside the box and went for the Sushi Teriyaki Chicken Burrito. It was genuinely good, with each component tasting fresh individually, but I probably wouldn't order it again. The seaweed wrap, serving as the "tortilla," wasn’t my favorite element. 6.5/10 Overall, this is definitely a solid spot I recommend checking out. The experience promises great service and intriguing menu items. My next stop will absolutely be the ramen, so stay tuned for that review! Read moreMy husband & I stopped here last night (5/16/23) for like the soft opening. The food was absolutely fantastic! We got a couple onigiris, a ramen and 2 lemonades. The lemonades were super fresh and super flavorful. We got strawberry lemonade which was sweet and still tangy as well as a regular lemonade which was just amazing. The ramen was the fried tofu with miso broth and an egg and it was so delicious, warm and incredibly flavorful. The onigiris I think were my favorites. We got a crab meat and a salmon both with the teriyaki (I think other option was spicy mayo). Both were made right as we ordered them so They were extremely fresh and so delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try more! Edit: Went back today 5/29/23 and it is still so good. The amazing quality is still there and quantity for price is still amazing. We got more onigiris which are still so good. And the lemonades especially on a warmer day like today just hit the spot. We also got a poke bowl with tempura shrimp and the burrito with tempura shrimp. The tempura was so amazing and crispy. I even loved the spicy sriracha mayo when normally I don’t like sriracha. Love...
Read moreWell let's just say my Ramen I ordered look nothing like the pictures online or even on the menu. This was our first experience and we went because of the reviews didn't realize it was in the mall. We still tried it I got the chicken ramen bowl and I didn't know it was going to have big chunks of seaweed and a weird pink swirly fish disc which I had no idea what it was, at first I thought it was a radish. I don't understand why they put all this ocean stuff in if I ordered chicken. Also there was so much liquid it went over all the stuff in the bowl and it all had a fishy taste to it. Let's just say I went home and puked my brains out. I am not a fish eater I don't like anything that tastes like fish. I guess next time I'm going to have to ask questions and make sure there's no fish products in my food. My son got the honey boba tea and he really liked it and that's why I gave it a Star...
