Very disappointing visit. We stopped at Chick-fil-a for time last night. The drive thru line was long, but we figured, like most other locations, that it would move much faster that=n it did. By the time we decided to get out of line and leave, it was to late. So, we waited, and waited, and waited. It took almost 30 minutes to get through the line and get our food.
One of the reasons the line we were in was slow, was due to a new employee being trained. She was cordial, to a fault. We asked questions about cookies, and she was clueless, as was her trainer. One of the problems was they were standing 10 feet before the menu, taking orders, so you couldn't see the menu before ordering. We asked to move up so we could see the menu, and she was visibly miffed, rolling her eyes with an audible sigh of exacerbation!
After placing our simple order of 2 chicken sandwiches, 2 french fries, a mac and cheese, a chocolate chip cookie and a chocolate shake, we moved ahead. There was a long wait, and we could see runners taking orders to cars waiting in line, while one vehicle sat by the take out window. We eventually got our order from one of the runners, and pulled out of line. We left without checking the order, which was our mistake. When we got home, we found that there was only 1 chicken sandwich! The rest of the order was fine, but missing a chicken sandwich was a big screw up. Now I can understand why the one car was in line so long because they probably got an incorrect order. Anyway, we split the one sandwich we received, and were angry we didn't check the order before we left. We made the mistake of trusting the location which obviously needs to be re-evaluated.
I believe the runners delivering orders to cars in line is an attempt to improve the speed of service, but it's not the way to run a business. It certainly is a departure from other locations we have visited.
I'm pretty sure we won't return to this location any time soon. Whoever owns this franchise needs to do something to improve the speed of service and...
Read moreI moved up here from the north carolina/south carolina border and let's just say this isn't a southern chick fil a by any means. You don't get that southern charm by every associate. They always forget something whether that's a sauce or a sandwhich. When you ask for pickles like a bunch of pickles you have to specify you want more than 3. If I was still in the south it wouldn't matter which chick fil a I went to they never forgot anything in the bag and they always gave you extra of whatever you wanted. Just very disappointed. I was excited for this "mega" chick fil a but they need to train the associates better (I was in retail management since I was 18 until I was 30 so I know when the training isn't there). One time a chick fil a employee down south gave me a bouquet of flowers just because. I think the business of the restaurant is too much for the employees currently because I've gone 3 times now and all 3 times they forgot something I paid for and there was no way to get my money back so very disappointed with this location. The food is cooked really well though I will give them that. But they have a long way to go until they meet the chick fil a standards I've known...
Read more2 for 2 - we’ve been there twice and both times missing stuff. We drive 35 miles, 45 mins, going to Dewitt JUST for Chick-fil-A. We usually go to Cicero but tried the new location twice now. First time, all cfa sauces were missing. This time, a whole sandwich was missing. We never had anything missing with Cicero in the 5-6 years we’ve been going, so we’ve never checked before heading home. Now we know to check before leaving, but today we got all the way home (off Exit 33 just before Utica) before seeing it was missing. Not a big deal for someone who lives close, but it’s not an easy run back to the restaurant to grab what’s missing for us. So, someone doesn’t get part of their dinner tonight. We’ll give one more chance since this location is new, but if stuff is missing again we’ll drive the extra 4 miles to Cicero.
Also, now that I’m reading reviews, it looks like this location needs to hire more staff and get...
