Food was Ok; typical McDonald's menu. But the service was pretty bad. The place was very busy, and they were rather crowded. The woman who took my order was fine, but that's where the fun began.
The woman who was serving the food was moving at lightning speed, balancing several orders at once. You would think that would be a good thing, but it added a sense of confusion to everything she did -- she was putting out numerous orders at a rapid pace, calling out names and items in a manner that made everything seem rushed and confused. As soon as I arrived at the station where the orders were being given out, she put out a small coke and mumbled the names of the several items she was presenting. As I had ordered a small Coke, I assumed the one she put out was mine, but I had no confirmation of this.
She then proceeded to.put out several more orders, calling them out in rapid succession, but mine was not called. As I stood there, I could see that the ice was melting rapidly in the Coke I assumed was mine. But it took several more minutes for my order to be put out.
Finally she called out my order, and put a bag on the Counter next to the Coke that was now totally without ice, as it had all melted and you could even see that the Coke was watered down. Never mind that I ordered my lunch "to stay"; it was in a paper bag and not on a tray. When I got her attention, I looked at her and looked at the Coke and I said, "That Coke has been sitting there for at least ten minutes. I'd like a fresh one, please, with new ice in it."
She ignored me, although I was sure she'd heard me. After several more minutes of her putting out orders (I'd guess at least five) she looked at me and said, "This is your Coke", pointing to the watered-down and now probably probably very warm Soda.
So I said again, rather loudly, "That Coke has been sitting there a long time. I'd like a fresh one please; all the ice has melted." She looked at me in a way that seemed to acknowledge my request, but it took several more minutes before she handed me a fresh soda.
So I said, "Thank you. May I have some Black Pepper?" She kind of gave me a nasty look, but she did go get the Pepper rather quickly, although she just dumped the Pepper into the bag, without a word. I had expected some kind of mild apology like, "Thanks for your patience" but she said nothing. In her defense, she was very busy, but I didn't think a word of apology would have been too much to ask.
Of course, my sandwich was completely cold by the time I unwrapped it, but I was sure that if I went back and asked for a replacement, my now-cold Coke would have lost its ice by the time I got it. So I simply ate my cold Sandwich and was glad at least I had a cold Coke and decided on the spot to avoid this particular McDonald's going forward.
At the prices McDonald's charges, I decided long ago that I should skip fast food and go to a Diner, where the service would better and everything would be served at once. But on the day in question, I was in a hurry. And why do they call it "Fast...
Read moreUnfortunately this is the closest McDonald’s to my house. I know when I go here to expect long waits. I was a salaried manager for McDonald’s when I was younger so I know certain things like cook times and expected drive through times. I try to take things into consideration when waiting. These folks don’t follow any protocol as far as addressing the customer, as far as greeting or thanking. It’s due to lack of standards by the manager. Most the time it’s probably due to being short staffed with new people on the grill is my guess. I would probably give more stars if the manager or employees made any effort to apologize for such long wait times. A half an hour for 3 cars in front of you is just unacceptable. My kids think I’m joking but I say when I retire from my current job I want to go back and fix this place. Advice to current manager. Make it fun for crew, a happy crew is more productive. Keep the standards with customer interaction. Explain and apologize when things are bad . When you see the line wrapped around keep dropping fries. til it’s gone. Let your front counter help expedite. Cover the grill if that’s your weak performer. Then slip back to your expediting roll when you can. If you do this times should still be at 5-7 minutes ( still to long in my opinion, but with only 3 people in the store acceptable)from order to pick up. Also have employees working the front and drive through explain we are short staffed apologize. If times do get ridiculous offer a free beverage or a coupon for the inconvenience. I’m...
Read moreworst, worst, worst experience ever at a McDonalds location. we ordered our food and there was no one in the store at that time, just my family. waited 20minz to get 2 fish filets, 1 spicy chicken and a happy meal. and when we asked for our drinks, the worker there asking us if we did order drinks, its on the damm screen check and see the screen what we ordered. When we told the person what we ordered, she goes and tells another person to make it, so to make 3 ice coffee drinks took another 10minz and then she tells us that she didn't mark which drink is what, caramel, vanilla and hazelnut. Really....this is the people you hire. and the manager she is just sitting in the back does not even do anything about this. so we told her to make it again and mark it down as we paid for the drinks. then waited to get a Hot Tea. once we got the tea, can smell that its coffee, and she argued saying this is tea and when we open the cup lid and smelled, then she realized its coffee and not tea. like come-on if you dont know how to do a job then dont work there, we got all the food and drinks and left after nearly 1 hour. once we on the road and opened the food non of the food was correct even the happy meal. like worst worst worst service anywhere in the world. haven't seen any lazier people...
