Horrible family establishment, every time I've gone it was always something bad, 1st time in years and the food was undercooked, horrible customer service, and waitress said something foul in her language about my 7 year old daughter, second time management tried to over charge me and I went in with a 10% off coupon and he never gave me my discount.. today was the last straw for me I witnessed the same manager whom tried to over charge me try to scam a church pastor whom hasn't been in Syracuse for 4 years and called for a reservation of 20 people including himself. This poor pastor, was forced to come back to the establishment after paying and leaving and had tried to have a civil conversation with the manager, the manager tried to tell the pastor he failed to pay for one of the guests, sad part about the situation was the guest whom didn't pay came in to say hello, never had a drink nor had anything to eat.. and the manager still tried to force the pastor to pay and respectfully refused too, and told the manager he wasn't going to allow him to scream in his face and said " call the police so we can get this sorted out, or I'm leaving and going home". As he tried to leave the manager called the police so the pastor respectfully sat down and waited for authorities to arrive to explain what really happened after bickering for about 15 mins or so with the police and the manager, about the situation, the police gave the pastor the option to either walk away or pay the man for the guest whom ever ate anything at all just stopped to say hello to an old friend... Wouldn't you know out of good faith the pastor ended up paying anyways. He will never go back there he has said and I asked his permission to post this cause he had stated it wasn't in his heart to do so... Never again staff, and management should be ashamed of they're actions tonight ... Never again will I go to this establishment with an open mind thinking it's a good place. And I truly hope that this pastor mentions this to all the guests he invited and paid for.. bless his soul for keeping his composure... Respectfully couldn't be me priest or...
Read moreLast time we are going... First off they seat us at the table with dirty plates and such on it seeing we have a 2 year old with us. Second I go to get some food and all around the food bars there is food on the floor and my wife almost goes down from stepping a dumpling. The customers around us are consistently some of the trashiest, foul mouthed people I've every had the pleasure to share a fart with. I mean, I'm a foul mouthed Irishman from NYC and I even have the common decency to not act and talk like a peice of trash around other children and my own. The food was what I expected for a cheap buffet, no surprises. You get what you pay for. The kicker was one of the servers giving me dirty looks and scolding me cause of of the families next to us dine and dashed. I was told that I should of told them right away that they were leaving without paying. First off, how would I know that they were getting up to leave? Cause I'm paying attention to my own family and I don't stare at other people while they eat.
In a nutshell please, please don't consider any of the Chinese all you can eat places in or around Syracuse for lunch or dinner today. If you must do all you can eat please consider other options like Indian or something else. I suggest Dosa Grill for lunch on East Genesee or Taj Mahal on Erie across from Pizza Hut. Hell, even Pizza Hut buffet better than what Cuse has to offer for Chinese buffet in Cuse. If you do, when you walk out shaking your head please remember that I told you so.
If you must have Chinese please also consider Red Chili on Erie, Cafe 21 on Erie, Oriental Star in Fayetteville (they have an all you can eat sushi deal all day, every day for like $20 and it's quality), a little further out China Cafe in Manlius.
In cuse it's just worth it to pay per plate, take out or sit in. Unfortunately Cuse lacks a good Chinese buffet. Closest good one is Binghamton area in Vestal across from...
Read moreI've been going to this restaurant for several years, and considered it the best Asian buffet in the Syracuse area. After my most recent visit, I'm no longer so sure. The visit got off to a bad start when the host started reaching for my 10 month old child, saying he would "take care of him." Sorry, but no, I don't hand my child over to strangers.
Thus was followed by trying to find a high chair that was usable. The first one brought out had no belt at all. There were three stacked in the service area next to our table, all of which had belts, but no buckles to secure them. I took one and tied the belt in place.
When our drinks came, the waitress pulled three unwrapped straws from her pocket and laid them on the table and dashed off. I found a manager to request sanitary straws, and he said they had run out. Odd, since we saw several other patrons with wrapped straws.
The food was "off" from previous experiences. The crab rangoons were empty fried won-tons. Several entries were cold, and there was much less spice in the foods than we are accustomed to here.
I can only hope these were the result...
