6 people were in my party. Many of us were very disappointed. First the waiter was average. Right from the beginning. He had no personality. Time to order and I don’t eat veal but i liked the meal , veal martino. I nicely asked the waiter if i could change it to chicken. He said no. Not even a second thought like let me ask the chef. So i settled for another dinner. What is the big deal if you switch for chicken . Chicken is cheaper than veal and i am sure you would have charged me the veal price. I go to many restaurants and it was never an issue.
Secondly, 2 ppl in the party had veal parmigiana . I have never seen vp served with spinach. You mean to tell me you can’t give the customers a small side order of pasta. Pasta is so cheap. Veal parmigiana and spinach is not a great combo for italians.
Then they charge you extra if you ask for more bread. With those prices you should give us as much bread as we want.
Then the bill came and with the service we had decided for an 18% tip . Well with 6 in the party they put the 20% tip on the bill. Some ppl do not tip on tax but Rosie’s tipped on the bill plus the tax. I myself usually tip on bill but this evening i would have gave 18% only on food . This mediocre waiter received a $70 tip. We had no control of that.
I just felt the night for the money that we paid was not justified.
Many in the party were unhappy. Not returning...
Read moreWent here for a Valentine's night dinner and although the food was delicious I wasn't too thrilled with the service or seating arrangement. Me and my girlfriend were seated at the back corner of the restaurant and crammed between two other tables so close to one another it might as well have been one table. Then I had to deal with every time a waiter/waitress/busboy squeezed in between the tables being bumped or having to lean back and forth out of their way which became super annoying. We then went to order an appetizer for the table to start and was told we couldn't put it in until we were ready to put in our full order for dinner which I've never experienced before, it was odd and inconvenient. Although the food was delicious we dealt with some inconveniences with dessert requests and the busboy rushing us to finish so he could take a plate. He removed the bread basket with the cheese spread before we could even use it. After sitting there for some time waiting for the check we had to flag the waitress down to get it. I placed the card on the table so when she came back she could just take it and we could be out and after seeing the card sitting there she still proceeded to drop the check and say "whenever you guys are ready" followed by a quick exit leaving us sitting there an additional ten minutes before returning to...
Read moreI ordered for pick up today, among others, pasta a la vodka with veal cutlets(was told $15 extra for veal) Opening the pickup package at home, we were shocked: veal cutlets were cut-up in small dried-up strips, cold & old., packed in a brown box for trickery… They tasted like the soles of old flip-flaps. We threw them in the garbage. So disappointing, as usually the veal cutlets ordered previously were whole, hot & fresh, placed on top of the pasta dish.(Hope the “chef “reads this)..,, Advice: if you can’t cook fresh veal on order, just say so, the honest way.. don’t try to replace fresh with old, cold pieces of meat. Be truthful, be honest. Food business requires honesty. I’m a good cook, I know fresh from old. And this veal was OLD. The “chef”should’ve known better, we have a fine palate. I ask the manager to have an honest conversation with this “chef” that dared to think it’s a good idea to feed customers old , disgusting food. After speaking w. manager, she promised a refund. Not enough though for a sour taste in our mouth, we deserved a fresh dish at the end of a long, hard working week … Too bad & too sad, My last order was done today, Bye Rosie’s! Good luck with this type of “new” service...
