Chantilly has the potential to become a great specialty bakery and coffee shop. I understand that it is the culmination of the owner’s dream, expertise and hard work. However, I’d really urge her to stand back and listen for a moment. There are a few things that could improve: 1. Pricing vs. Quality - $4 (each) is what I would pay for a coffee and croissant at Sightglass in San Francisco or Stumptown in NY. While Chantilly is using Hood milk and unknown beans, the pricing isn’t justified. 2. Condescension - I think Chantilly could benefit from assuming that their customer has more bakery and coffee expertise than they do, rather than interrupt and talk down to the customer trying to explain and specify their order. I’ve been cutoff mid speech multiple times and misunderstood when asking for a short cappuccino or the like. 3. Sustainability. I understand that COVID presents a take out challenge for everyone, but the materials used to package their products could upgrade to more environmentally sustainable models (exclusively reusable - eventually; or fully recyclable or compostable at the least). Plastics and extraneous materials that the customer does not request...
Read moreThe recommendation to use Chantilly Patisserie came from another pastry shop that would be on vacation for the date of my daughters baby shower. I'm very thankful they were kind enough to share their suggestion. Maria at Chantilly Patisserie was a pleasure to work with and very honest in her suggestion of my choices. Being that they are closed on Sundays I had to pick up my order on Saturday. I have to admit I was a little nervous about the cake and pastries holding up overnight. Well, I'm so happy I took the chance. Everything could not have been more perfect. I followed their directions on transporting and storing all the baked goods and did not have any issues at all. The guest at the shower enjoyed everything so much there was not a piece of dessert left. Thank you for everything Maria. When we're in the area you will definitely be seeing us again!...

I typically just get their almond croissants cause they’re big and flakey but I went on Croissant day, 2/5/22, and they have so many different tasty croissants I had to buy them all 😭 I bought a key-lime, canoli, nutella, churo and everything bagel croissant and man do I will they sold these daily. AMAZING!!! The prices for their croissants are pricey but man are they worth the spurge. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area but keep in mind they close at 12pm (Fri-Sun) and sometimes sell out before closing. Start your day early with a bomb croissant, you...
