I recently had the pleasure of dining at Villaggio in Ellicottville, NY, and it was an experience I can't wait to repeat. Nestled at 7 Monroe Street, Villaggio is a charming Italian restaurant that immediately welcomes you with its cozy and warm atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, the friendly staff made me feel like I was part of their family.
The menu was a delightful journey through Italian cuisine, featuring fresh pasta, succulent steaks, and salads bursting with flavor. I opted for one of their signature pasta dishes, and it was evident that they prioritize quality and freshness in every bite. The dessert was equally impressive, a perfect sweet note to end the meal.
What stood out to me was the local vibe of the place, especially around the bar. It was vibrant and full of life, creating a sense of community that's hard to find elsewhere. I learned that Villaggio is brought to us by the founders of Osteria 166 in Buffalo, NY, which explained the high quality of food and service. They've certainly brought their A-game to ski country, making Villaggio a gem in Ellicottville's dining scene.
Aside from the excellent food, the service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely interested in making our evening special.
Villaggio isn't just a restaurant; it's a place where friends gather and memories are made. Whether you're there for a casual dinner or a special occasion, they make every moment count. Their commitment to a family-style dining experience shines through in every aspect, from the ambiance to the menu.
In conclusion, my visit to Villaggio was more than just a meal; it was a culinary adventure that left me longing for more. It's a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting. I'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the best of Ellicottville's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo disappointed in our experience here. For starters, they sat us at a table that was not balanced. Every movement caused it to tip. I also sat in the chair that was backed up to a corner that was full of cobwebs. The kind that have obviously been there for a while, I understand this is an old building but it is a restaurant and if someone was cleaning it properly they would certainly have noticed them. Our waiter then told us when we asked for more bread, āno Iām noting giving you anymore bread because you wonāt eat your mealsā. Forgive me, but when we are paying $20 for dishes of pasta, if we request more bread I cannot fathom what sort of customer service training happens to prompt a server to refuse a customer anything especially in such a rude fashion. Our waiter, Chad, then spilled mayonnaise and ketchup all over my husbands coat and offered very little apology as a sweet young girl ran over to try her best at cleaning his coat. We let all of this slide until he did not bring our change back upon paying the bill. Iāve never been to a restaurant where a server did not return change and just assumed it to be their tip. He walked past us several times. Finally another employee asked how our meal was and we informed her of our dissatisfaction. She provided us with the business card of the manager who offered to dry clean my husbands coat. We were in from Ohio, this was the jacket he had to wear and dry cleaning was the last thing we had time to do and the very least they offered to do. Abhorrent service, will never return or recommend. Spend your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad heard decent things! They were wrong. Before our drinks were served the hostess asked us how we liked being seated next to the restrooms on metal stools in the bar area. We informed her of our displeasure to which she replied at least we got you in. We had reservations! the appetizers and soup came out together soup was ok the stuffed peppers appetizer was 1 pepper. 40 minute wait between the soup and the meal (salads never came). The 59 dollar surf and turf was advertised as a 6 oz. Fillet and lobster (assumed to be a lobster tail) actually 1 bite of lobster meat from the claw the waitress informed us upon serving. Potatoes had very little flavor. 4 stalks of asparagus for the vegetable. When my wife asked for a second glass of wine the waitress brought the bottle and said I'll give you a little extra since you already have some in your glass it was not the same wine we noticed as she poured it. The written menu was reasonably priced unless you order a special (specials were extremely high priced but you dont find out until you get the bill. Guess we should have asked) the ribeye steak is 73 dollars and mediocre at best, if you want your manhatten on the rocks they charge an additional $3 for the ice. Not a great place if your looking for a quiet romantic meal seemed more like a...
