Artventures — Attraction in Town of Ellicottville

The worst business I’ve ever dealt with in my life. I’ve never left a google review before but I am so beyond angry. I’ve never been treated like this before in my life. My sister paid $20 to reserve a pottery painting session. Then you have to pay for the pottery your painting (which is insanely over priced, I painted a bowl for $60). When we showed up there was a group of about 20 people there, we thought we reserved the place and time. We were stuck in a corner and were ignored by staff for most of the time and they barely had any paint colors to choose from and didn’t have any pink, again for what you are paying this was annoying. That isn’t even the bad part, had it been left at that I wouldn’t be leaving a review. We were told at the session that we can come any time before 12 to pick up the pieces the next day. We had said that works and I came at 11 today to come pick them up. Well… no one was there and the door was locked. We called and the owner said they would be there in 20, I’m annoyed at this point but was still fine. The worker gets there and I walk in behind her. She doesn’t hold the door open, doesn’t look at me, or saying anything and is cussing under her breath the whole time. Finally she says “I don’t know who told you to come before 12 we’ve never had anyone ever come before 12” i told her “you did” she continued to argue with me saying “ I would never say that” and so on. I asked her “why would we all make that up?” She said “I don’t know but I certainly never said that” and I said “Okay then maybe you should run your business better”. I am local and LOVE all Ellicottville businesses but these people are a waste of space and someone else deserves to be in that spot and be open. NEVER GO TO THIS...

If you've purchased a Groupon certificate for Artventures don't expect to use it. I was told today that although they are conducting classes by appointment they are not honoring Groupon certificates even if you have an appointment (like I did). They said it is because of Covid. So....are Groupon buyers more likely to have Covid? Or is this just a big scam to make money without providing the service. Good luck getting your money back from Groupon. They continue to sell Groupon certificates...

Me and my boyfriend painted some pottery on May 6th, we were unable to pick them up in person after having them fired. Due to this I paid the shipping costs to have them shipped to me, I was told I would receive them within a week and a half and to call if they had not arrived in that time. I still haven’t received my pieces as of today (05/30/23). I have tried reaching out by calling, leaving messages and emailing, I am very disappointed to say that I have not received any answer...
