This happened today less than an hour before I am writing this. I stood at the counter for several minutes, long enough that my entire time there ended without receiving any service at all. The manager, Ashley, who ignored me when I asked for her name and forced me to get it from another staff member, looked right at me multiple times, then deliberately turned away as if I was not even there. At one point, I overheard her making little jokes while glancing in my direction, as if my presence was some kind of entertainment.
The difference in treatment was undeniable. A White customer walked up shortly after and suddenly Ashleyâs demeanor flipped, warm greeting, âHow are you,â full attention, immediate service. Meanwhile, I was still ignored.
Ashleyâs selective and dismissive behavior reminded me of the dispatcher in the Daniel case, where the person in that role appeared to operate with the same bias and detachment. In both situations, the gatekeeper held the power to help but instead chose to act with disregard, making it clear that the problem is not just in one incident but in the mindset.

   Read moreI have no idea why they even bother with on the go orders during the week in the morning rush hours. The one person in the front taking orders from incoming customers is the only one doing the on the go order when there's 10 people in the back. Twice this week my orders were not ready and I ordered in ample time. All I ever get from there is an iced coffee and maybe a donut. If I ever order a donut, it's NEVER there but my coffee is. Yesterday I ordered an iced coffee at 6:55 am, got there at 7:10. There's one girl up front taking a customers order. Makes it, gives it to him and he's on his way. I'm sure she was busier before I got there because she hustled and made 5 on the go coffee orders and I finally had mine by 7:20. Which put me behind on my commute to Croton Harmon. Thankfully clocked in right at 8am. If there were 5 orders ahead of mine, why couldn't any one of her coworkers step in and lend a hand. The customer service has really declined at this location in particular! And the one by westage is ridiculous because if you have an on the go order, the have a drive thru lane just for that but then you have to cut someone off because you have to merge into one lane. I have placed multiple orders on multiple days on my way to work and Everytime I come to this location my carli cold foam NEVER has cinnamon and sugar which Iâm 99% sure the drink comes with it. This morning 11/19 I went inside to get my mobile order and makayla makes my charli cold foam and does not put cinnamon sugar on it. I then ask for it and she tells me you guys ran out, I then asked to have a refund being I only like the drink for that reason and she then decides to put it on so basically she was lazy and didnât wanna make my drink the correct way. I then continue to wait for 5-10 minutes more for the mini pan cakes. I ask someone where my order is and the pancakes were on top of a machine in the drive up area which I watched him grab and the pancakes were crispy and absolutely disgusting. There is always long waits here and not once has my drink been made right. Every other Dunkin I go to they make the drink perfect but this Dunkin is on my way to work so I will be having to drive out of my way for a coffee to be made correctly....
