Howell's Sunflower Café — Restaurant in Town of Goshen

The food was really good my boyfriend order a Turkey Sandwich and I order a Chicken Ceasar Wrap. I love to support local business and I get happy to visit one. This is the first time writing a review and its sad its not a nice one. But, it was our first time and we enter and nobody approached to say “Welcome or It is your first time here” we didn’t knew how to order or if we had to sit or order at the register so boyfriend grab a menu that was on the counter and It was uncomfortable cause nobody approached or look if we need help, and one of them look at us like she didn’t want us there, so I ask if we sit or order there so he said we can sit. The server came and I ask what was the Coffee menu ( to see what kind of coffee drinks they had ) she said they dont have and I look they have an espresso machine and hot coffee and she only offer hot coffee until I said do you have latte and she said yes but no suggestions on milk or flavors. While we were eating the server didn’t approach or said if we need something, only when we already finished everything and hand us the count and left. We are really nice people and expect good communication and good service. Customer service is about the details and this place doesn’t have that sadly. People expect to know where they are going to eat or get served. Sometimes its about treatment. It can be change by management to teach about customer service. But I just hope it...

Decided to come here for the first time and have breakfast while I completed some of my homework. It has an old fashioned feel to this café, and the absolute best cinnamon roll French toast. I felt relaxed and very grateful while I was eating there. It wasn't until I went up to the front register to pay for my meal and I waited for about 15 minutes. I'm a pretty patient person, so I didn't mind the waiting aspect of it but it what upset me was the fact that I was standing right In front of the register the whole time and the employee's continued to let people pay before me, or order before helping me. And yes, they saw me standing there the whole time. I didn't get that re-assuring "I'll be with you in a second" I got eye rolls and dirty looks which was absolutely unnecessary. After 15 minutes I finally paid and left without any words. It's a shame because I really did enjoy the food and the environment was nice.
