Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Town of Grand Chute

I want to start off with, if youre in Appleton, take the extra drive to the chipotle on county highway KK or literally anywhere else. I’m a big fan of chipotle but every time I go to this one, they never portion your food correctly, you get half a scoop of everything, employees are always annoyed with any customer who walks through the door.

With my experience today, I will be driving to the further location. I walked in today 12:54pm, (I hope the manager takes a look at the camera to see which employee it is), the girl stared at me, I said “hello, can I get a burrito with brown rice & chicken please” she just stared at me then started. She looked up & said “you gonna get beans or what?” with an attitude. I said no thank you & she rolled her eyes. I asked for a little extra rice since it was barely half a scoop, she rolled her eyes again. So I didn’t dare ask for more chicken as I didn’t want to be a problem. I asked for my hot sauce on the side as I knew I was not going to get the amount I wanted, she filled the cups halfway, continue to roll her eyes.

My end result of my burrito was the size of my hand & I have small hands with half filled cup of sauce.

The gentleman that was at the cash register compensated for her rudeness, told me to have a great day. He deserves a raise. He should not be having to compensate for her attitude.

Chipotle on county highway kk’s employees have always started with “I’m having a bad day & I apologize for it” & I truly understand that! I tell them thank you for letting me know & I hope your day gets better! But never once have they gave me attitude in any way because of it!

Customer service: Felt rushed from the moment we walked into the door until we left. It would’ve been understandable if it was super busy, but it wasn’t, and no one was in line behind us. There were 3 separate employees asking us questions about what we wanted at the same time - giving us no time to think or respond. It’d been a while since I’ve gone to a chipotle, and so neither of us were exactly sure what we wanted. It didn’t help that they mumbled all of their answers and the ambience music was incredibly loud.

The food: holy guacamole I wasn’t expecting this. I had incredibly fond memories of chipotle and so I’m not sure what went wrong. My burrito was very cold, it didn’t taste very fresh, and they didn’t wrap it correctly and so it immediately fell apart. Now I expect some of the burrito filling to fall out, and so I ordered the chips to pick it up. They ended up being incredibly stale. My girlfriend’s burrito was ice cold! All of it! Even the chicken and rice that should’ve been warm. It’s like they put it in the freezer for five minutes after wrapping it. I thought she may have been over exaggerating but I took a bite and it was incredibly cold.

The price: well I wasn’t expecting this. It ended up being $32 and change. We got 2 burritos, 2 drinks, and a bag of chips. That’s not incredibly expensive, but you could eat at Olive Garden for that much.

I’m not sure if this is just how chipotle has become since I last went to one, or if this is a problem with this one specifically, either way I cannot recommend it at all! There are far better...

We don't eat out a lot, but this has become one of our favorite restaurants for when we do. They servers have no problems changing gloves if you have a food allergy. They don't always know exactly what items are safe for what allergies, but it is well listed on their web site. So if you know what to ask for, they will oblige you. For those with allergies, I am quite allergic to Wheat / Gluten and I have never had a problem here.

The quality of the food has generally been very consistent. We only one time found the chicken over cooked.

My only complaint would be the chips have been inconsistent. Sometimes they are excellent, other times they are off. I don't know if it is from older fryer oil or if they were just a bit stale. Last time we where there we brought a bag of chips back up and got a new bag, it was only slightly better. I hope they improve this as I love the rest of their food.

A bit more simple menu than Qudoba, but very good flavors in everything. I feel the quality is higher than Qudoba.

The service has always been prompt. The restrooms have been clean, though they are just single person restrooms for a busy restaurant, which can result in a wait at times.

Carry out is packed well. Cost is a bit higher than most fastfood, but comparable to Quboba. The do charge for guacamole, where Qudoba does not, but their base prices are a bit lower than Qudoba, so...
