Went in to Panera to purchase 2 boxed lunches for one of my clients in the morning today. Was told that they would need to process it under the Catering brand which I was ok with. 10 minutes later they informed me that the catering person was unavailable to process my order of 2 boxed lunches and they will just ring it up like normal order and box it up for me. I ordered, paid, and went to the pick up counter. Once it came out, it was in one to go bag. I asked the person to please place it in 2 separate boxes and she said she couldn't do that since the order wasn't processed under catering. I explained to her that the catering person was not available and the front counter had me order like normal and placed on the ticket to place both meals into separate boxes. She then placed each meal into 2 separate to go bags instead of the boxes as ordered. She called for the MOD and he said that they cannot follow my request since I did not order it through the catering person. After a brief argument, he said that he would do it as soon as he can, but he was busy working on something else. He saw on my ticket that it was to be boxed. 15 minutes later it was boxed up and I was on my way. The unprofessionalism shown by this specific Panera location and the fact that I followed their direction in ordering and was told I was wrong is astounding. Panera has been my go to spot for client lunches all across WI and IL, however I believe I will start looking for a new place to order from. From start to finish I spent 35 minutes in Panera just to order a...
Read moreI came into the Panera and wanted to order the value duets and the cashier ended up ordering me two full size sandwiches which isn’t what I wanted. I went back up to her to let them know my order was messed up and the cashier apologized and went to ask her manager how to refund and fix the order. She came up to the drawer and looked very confused and didn’t know what to do. She then asked me what I was wanting since I got the two full size sandwiches. I told her that that’s not what I wanted and if I can get the cups of soups and she said she didn’t know what I was wanting her to refund so I told her for the third time that I want to value duets and want the half of a sandwich and soup that was for $6.99. She then looks at the cashier and tells the cashier that they made what she rang up with an attitude. Then told us if we want to cups of soups that we would have to pay an additional $10 for 2 cups of soup which is outrageous. The cashier was very nice and apologetic. The manager did not want to figure anything out. It looked like she didn’t even know how to manage the situation, this was a mistake on their end and the cashier definitely tried to fix the situation, but the manager made it very difficult to fix it because it looks like they didn’t know what they were doing or they didn’t know how to fix the situation. Very...
Read moreHonestly I wouldn't come to this location if there was a Georgia Bread Co or another Panera nearby. But if you want Panera and don't want to drive to the other side of town, it's the only option. I only eat here because I get gift cards from family.
This location is a hot mess to say the least. I understand that staffing/supply issues happen, but I've had hair in my orders 3 times (Dark hair, not my own) and had my rapid pickup orders messed up twice. Recently, I had dark hair in my salad, and ingredients missing from my salad that I ate in-cafe most recently. (they didn't indicate that these ingredients were out of stock, and they did indicate it for other ingredients/entrees so idk what happened here)
When I did the rapid pickup or delivery, the app made it easy to get a coupon/refund. I was satisfied with these solutions. But when I purchased in-cafe (through the app) it didn't give me that option. The last thing I want to do when they're horribly under-staffed is create a stink about something and take up their time, so I just left.
Will I be back? Probably. Are my expectations...
