Tonight... I chose to dream back to the 1970s when Baskin-Robbins were standalone ice cream parlors. This evening however in 2024, I was greeted by a terrific young fellow named Michael. I told him about my escapades with friends as kids in the 1970s with Baskin Robbins and I said would you make me the best banana split you've ever made anyone and his reply was, Sir, I most certainly will. On top of this perfectly ripened banana was Cold Brew Oreo, World's Famous Chocolate, and Jamaica Coffee ice creams. It was politely topped with chocolate syrup, butterscotch, wet nuts, a touch of whipped cream and three wonderful cherries. Not only was I reliving the 1970s but I was given a slice of heaven by a courteous young professional that made the experience worthwhile. The entire crew on tonight was stellar. Walking into Baskin Robbins, I was charmed by the wide variety of ice cream flavors, the ample parking, and the spacious, inviting store. It was the 31st of the month, and I was excited to take advantage of their special 31% off deal. When I got to the counter, I realized the discount was only 20% instead of the expected amount. Horrible service portions are a joke which I guess I can understand these days. There selection is horrible as well. The girl helping me didn’t look like she wanted to be there. I ordered 4 double scoops of ice cream and the cups were half full. Then she left them on the counter and handed me a bag. If gas wasn’t so expensive I would have driven back. I will never ever go to this location again. I wish I could have given them negative stars!!!! Hopefully the manager sees...
