A Baby Shower to Remember - Exceptional Food, Service & Hospitality!
I recently hosted a baby shower at the Sailhouse, and I cannot express enough how truly incredible the entire experience was. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make the day absolutely perfect. A huge shoutout to Sean, he made the experience a memorable one!!!
Food: Every dish served was a showstopper. The appetizers were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor -- from fresh, vibrant salads to perfectly small bites. The main courses were equally impressive; each guest raved about the quality, taste, and generous portions. Whether you chose the vegetarian option or the chef's signature entrée, every plate was made with care and finesse. And the dessert? A dream.
Service: The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. They anticipated our needs before we could even voice them. Refills were prompt, dietary preferences were handled seamlessly, and not once did we feel rushed or overlooked. Everyone had a smile on their face, and they made sure every guest felt valued and comfortable throughout the celebration.
Hospitality: What truly set this event apart was the hospitality. From the moment we booked the event, the team made us feel like family. They helped us plan every detail, accommodated special requests, and even added thoughtful touches that made the space feel personalized and festive. The private event area was beautifully arranged, creating the perfect ambiance for a cozy yet elegant celebration.
In short, The Sailhouse exceeded all expectations. If you're planning a special event -- especially something as memorable as a baby shower -- I highly recommend this venue. Their attention to detail, quality of food, and warmth of service made our day unforgettable. We left with full hearts and even...
Read moreDear Owner—if you care about your business, please read this.
I came in truly wanting to love your restaurant. The view is beautiful, but everything else made me regret spending my money. The original drink I ordered wasn’t available—how does that happen so early in the day? That tells me your inventory isn’t being managed, and it made me wonder what else is being overlooked.
Our server was clearly not trained. She dropped a drink straw on the table without a napkin, then put it in the drink. That’s unsanitary. She never checked on us—only came over after we complained to someone else. Even then, she seemed lost and uncomfortable.
The food took far too long despite the restaurant being almost empty and staffed with people standing around. The pasta I ordered was $40 and completely flavorless. The chicken was not grilled, it was a dry, greasy cutlet—nowhere did the menu specify that. The sauce was bland, watery, and tasted like it came from a jar. The guacamole was browned on top. The grilled chicken dish was so tough it was difficult to cut it.
And the sangria? It came with ice, no fruit, and tasted like watered-down wine with flat soda. When I asked for fruit, I was brought a lemon, lime, and a maraschino cherry. That’s not sangria—it’s a shortcut.
What concerned me most was the lack of leadership. Young, confused staff walking around aimlessly, no quality control, no one managing the floor. It was uncomfortable. If things are this disorganized out front, I can only imagine what’s happening in the kitchen.
You have a great location—but that alone isn’t enough. I sincerely hope you step in and take control of your business before it loses any chance of...
Read moreMy friend and I just left the restaurant and we had the worst food experience ever. The food was very subpar and did not have any taste. We ordered the fried calamari, chicken club and the double smashburger. The calamari had no taste and the smashburger taste very gritty. We sent back the chicken club sandwich entree that was made with a frozen breaded chicken cutlet because the meat was cold on the inside. They took the entire plate back to the kitchen and warmed up the exact piece of meat and brought it back to the table. My friend and I expressed our distaste with the food and drink. The manager expressed that he was sorry but did not offer to take off an entree to compensate our experience. We paid the full amount of $101.13 including tip for food that we just picked over. Our waiter Robert was very nice and attentive to us. FYI, it was not busy in the restaurant during the time we were there. So there is no excuse the for the food to have been this horrible. I would not recommend this restaurant. The view is great but not worth the money you would pay to sit in this restaurant. I usually do not take the time to write a review but this experience warranted me to take the time to warn folks of what to expect when patronizing this restaurant.
In response to the restaurant; The waiter said he’ll take the chicken sandwich back and have it remade. The manager never came over to our table until we called him over before we paid the bill. I would hoped that you all owned that your manager should have handled our complaint differently. First horrible experience shame on you but the second horrible experience shame on me. We’ll pass on returning back to...
