To whom it may concern, This note is a long time coming but the situation has affected our social time by removing a well liked dining option.
We used to have dinner at Villaggio's almost weekly. Especially the Tuesday night bands. We would look forward to each week and enjoy dinner and drinks, spending $150 or so each time. Your main waiter knows us and greets us warmly whenever he sees us. We tipped 20 to 25% and gave a tip to the band. We also frequently stopped by for Pizza up front and had started to have a late date on Thursday nights where we would come in for Pizza and a couple drinks around 8:30 or just before 9.
We had had a bad experience with some of your Pizza counter people in the past, but let it go. We understand it's hard to serve on your feet and forgive the occasional rude employee for the bigger, better experience we usually got.
One Thursday about 6 months ago (we have not been there since because of this) we came in 8:45 and there was no pizza visible behind the counter. The counter person, and older spanish man said they had no pizza and he would have to make a fresh one that would take 25min to half an hour. He suggested we order from the kitchen. It was late for us and we just wanted to be there for half an hour or so anyway but we ordered something from the kitchen. As we are doing this I can see a couple cooked pizzas in the shelves where you must store them between oven and register.
I don't say anything. We sit and get drinks in the bar area and 10 min later go to the counter to pick up our order. There is now a half a Pizza out at the counter and they are serving slices. I asked that counter person why there was a new Pizza there after he told us it would be half an hour. With his accent I honestly don't remember his response, but what ever it was could not expalin why he would not serve us when we asked just ten minutes before.
We have not been back since. At first we were going to post reviews on Google and Yelp but didn't think it was worth the time. But every week or so one of us mentions "That crummy place across central" that was so rude to us. We go to Planet Pizza or City Limits but we...
Read moreI've been coming to villagios for almost 14 years, and this is the first time I truly felt blatantly cheated. I ordered 2 large pizzas, a fried zucchini sticks and a fried mozzarella stick appetizers......when I went to pick up the order, the order taker had accidentally added a cold antipasto to the order, so when I got the final bill of $61.05, it prompted the question why the bill was so high. When we figured out the mistake, the counter man voided the sale and resubmitted the correct order, but then my bill was still high at $55.63...when I inquired, he said "when you first ordered you got the happy hour price, but now that you cancelled and reordered, you have to pay full price...which was literally $4.40 less.......totally a screw over.. and when you look at the order of mozzarella sticks you get, you wouldn't pay $1.00 for what they give you....let alone the $6.95 they charge. I felt truly ripped off.....and I'm usually telling anyone I know about how good the food is at villagio...not anymore.....very unethical business practice..padding an order and then penalizing the customer by switching prices when you catch THEIR mistakes......and they always seem to charge different prices on the same items........Even though when I order the EXACT same items, I dont think I've ever paid the same price......they've lost a loyal customer with this classless and crappy business practice.. and I plan on spreading the word that this restaurant is not to be trusted....I advise anyone stupid enough to continue to order from here to check, and recheck their billing......they count on customers complacency and inattention. IF YOU ORDER FROM HERE, YOU EITHER TRIPLE CHECK YOUR BILL, OR YOU GET WHAT YOU...
Read moreThe food here is always good. That’s never been a problem. The attitude me and my husband get from staff is unreal and my main issue. Anytime we order for pickup through Doordash or Uber or whatever, there’s an issue. I pay through the app, we go to pick it up and they ask for payment. Every time we have to explain it’s already been paid and there’s always attitude. One time they lost the order ticket and claimed we never ordered from there when we went to go pick up. The manager found the ticket on the floor and shrugged his shoulders after arguing with my husband. I try and try again with this place hoping the attitude was a one off situation and last night proved me wrong again. Ordered through Doordash, husband went to pick up, they ask for payment. Husband shows the Doordash receipt showing paid. Take our food home and our mozzarella sticks had the sauce basically exploded all over them and there was 4 mozzarella sticks. 4 for $9.95? Every other time it’s been 6. My husband calls to make them aware and the guy on the phone is blaming Doordash. WE PICKED IT UP - the driver didn’t eat our food. He kept arguing and said to take it up with Doordash and refused to answer me when I asked how many mozzarella sticks should there be then? We finally gave up and hung up. The food is delicious but I’m quite over the attitude every time we place an order. I can get good food elsewhere where...
