24 Hour Bagel use to be my go to place. I started coming here back in 2001 when they first opened. I lifeguarded at Oceanside Pool and this was the go to lunch spot. Not anymore. This establishment has gone down hill. Every time I order a bagel or a sandwich it comes out wrong. No one here knows how to toast a bagel dark, they don’t follow instructions either. This has happened several times that I felt this review was necessary. Avoid this place if you like your sandwich done right. It’s not worth the wait. The picture below is what they believe is a toasted dark everything bagel, not toasted at all.

Stopped in at 5pm on Saturday. Plenty of good classic NYC style bagels to choose from, even at a weird time of day. All of the deli case salads looked fresh. We stuck with bagels which were all very good. The B & W cookie was fluffier than most but still well worth having. Prices and portions were excellent. Breakfast specials looked like excellent bargains. The only downsides were the parking lot (what is it about Trader Joe’s locations always having fubar parking?) and that the service was a little slow. But a place that’s open 24/7 AND has really good food, is still a winner.

It's a really great bagel deli with an obnoxiously long line to order. I mean out the door long. 😠 You're better off calling it in and picking it up. ☎️ They have a huge assortment of salads, sandwiches, wraps and, of course, bagels and bialies. 🥯 There is a decent sized indoor seating area as well as 3 picnic tables outside. They really are the best bagels on Long Island!👍 The four stars reflects the long wait. It's every time... 😒

I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I recently placed an order with 24 hour bagel in Oceanside for a platter meant for a small family gathering following a loss. I had hoped that something as simple as breakfast would be taken care of so the family could focus on being together.

Unfortunately, when a family member arrived to pick up the order, she was told the platter was not made, they didn’t have the order for it despite my card having been charged in advance. There was no apology that matched the gravity of the situation, nor any sense of urgency to correct the mistake. It felt like a complete afterthought to the rude little girl I spoke with. I asked for a manager and she stated she was the best I was going to get. Sadly, she sounded like she was 12, with zero problem solving skills. She just kept stating “we don’t have your order” well obviously!!!

Mistakes happen, I understand that. But the lack of follow-through and empathy in a moment like this was incredibly disappointing. What should have been a small comfort during a difficult morning turned into added stress and frustration.

I truly hope this was an isolated incident, but I would encourage the store to look closely at their process—and to remember that for customers, especially during sensitive times, reliability and care really matter.

I will not cater from this...

Bald guy has on multiple occasions had the worst attitude. He once refused to toast my bagel because he insisted they just came out of the oven and were still warm. I explained that it wasnt the heat but the fact that its toasted and he just straight up declined to do it. When the next 2 customers didn’t overhear our conversation, they too, asked for toasted bagels. And I swore this guy behind the counter was going to have a mental breakdown. Angrily exclaiming what he previously told me to them. Another occasion he denied me service due to my girlfriend having her vested and leashed service animal with her. When we explained it was a service animal he said “yea right” and for us to leave.

Everyone else that works there seems to be alright, I can imagine working with this dude (bald guy named Joe I’m pretty sure) is terrible. Clearly many customers have complained about him before as well and nothing...
