Avellino's Pizzeria & Catering — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Fantastic catering package! I am very picky when it comes to food and I typically cook for all my parties! This time I gave Avellino Pizzeria a try and I was not disappointed! The complete catering package includes two grandma pies, rice balls, garlic knots, French bread and your choice of three large trays of pastas; chicken, sausages or eggplant. I ordered penne all a vodka, chicken Francesca, and sausage and peppers. Every entree was delicious and fresh, as well as the pizza and rice balls! I make my own rice balls are these were impressive! They also added extra containers of vodka sauce and marinara , as well as grated cheese! The delivery service was reliable and prompt and the driver set up all the sternis so I didn’t have to do a thing! The manager Joe is very disrespectful. I ordered honey wings and when I opened the container, there was a hair on my food!!! I also ordered penne bolognese and it was so bland and disgusting I couldn't even eat it. I called to complain and Joe was very rude and flat out yelled at me for daring to say that his food was awful. He insisted that the food was good and asked me if I tasted it. Of course I did! I've lived in the area for my whole life. Remember this place when it was Centurion, and they had great pizza and a warm family environment. I tried to buy pizza here a few times, and the owner has got to be one of the rudest people on earth. He doesn't seem to care at all. If you buy online as well he doesn't look at the orders. Either he has never run a retail store before or just simply is not interested, but this is not the business he should pursue moving forward. He's in the wrong industry.
