Brancard's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I have used Brancards deli for 42 years..most of the years have been uneventful.I always felt they had the BEST potatoes salad and macaroni salad however,in recent years I have gone to Beckman and Malverne Deli not just because of the food but,most importantly the level of service...I placed an order on the phone with the counter help the girl who took my order was pleasant,and when I explained there wasn't any web site or internet page that had a menu posted she said she knew. Ok,I asked if they had a regular menu on the counter she said no.However....they have a catering menu hmmmm.....how can I check prices products brands oh just call in? In any event I went there to pick my order up cold cuts, salads,Etc.I went to the Deli.at 5:50 pm to find the Deli closed no note on the door no ans...on the phone no one ans. Now I called this in at 5:15pm and no one mentioned they close at 6:00pm.....I WAS THERE BEFORE 6:00PM.CINDY SAID "WELL THEY WANT TO GO HOME....EXCUSE ME? YOU TOOK MY ORDER YOU KNEW I WAS DRIVING OVER I GAVE YOU MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER OVER THE PHONE,FOR WHAT PURPOSE?? MY my my....I went back on line and it said clearly they close at 8:00pm.How is any customer to know that isn't valid?When I called the next day to communicate this inconvience and INCIDENT,I spoke with Cindy who said she was the owner she was rude aggressive and lacked any empathy SHE CLEARLY DID NOT CARE that I was inconvienced.She said another customer created the page they can't take it down they don't have the code therefore "NO HARM NO FOUL"(WHAT THE HECK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN).WHEN I SAY SHE WAS AGGRESIVE I MEAN JUST THAT.I TOLD HER BECAUSE OF THIS I HAD TO RUN TO THE OTHER DELI THAT BY NOW WAS PREPARING TO CLOSE HOWEVER,WHEN I EXPLAINED WHAT I JUST WENT THROUGH THE OTHER DELI SAID COME RIGHT OVER NO PROBLEM WE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU...I REFUSE TO GIVE CINDY ANYMORE OF MY BUSINESS MISTAKES HAPPEN BUT WHEN YOU SPEAK TO A LOYAL PAYING CUSTOMER WITH SUCH DISDAIN THAT OWNER DOES NOT APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS...I MOVED ON. BEWARE,CHECK PRICES,ASK CLOSING TIMES BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOTHING IN WRITING PRICES MENU,OR CLOSING TIMES,THEY CAN CHANGE AT ANY TIME! I THINK THAT IN ITSELF IS,A...

This could easily be a 4 star review, but because of the famous employee, "ciNdy 🥴"I'll leave a star for her and one for the food. It blows my mind as to how a person with that type of attitude is behind a counter dealing with the public. Like that Should be forbidden. She has no respect or care in the world towards the customers. If I was the boss, she would've been replaced aloooooonngg time ago, cause why? They keep losing customers. Do yourself a favor and go to the Lynbrook Deli across the Ford dealer off of merrick. The nicest bunch of people I've ever met. Take care Cindy. I pray Joy comes over...

I love this Deli!! Everything in this Deli is fresh and they are very clean. This deli has a lot of options, so you can get a sandwich, fresh food , and even a fresh salad. All the workers are very helpful but I would say my favorite person there is the lady that works there. It seems like she makes everything with love. Also there homemade lemonade and ice tea is great no added sugar needed. I would recommend this place to anyone that appreciates a good deli. But keep in mind they open early morning so they close earlier...
