It’s a shame I didn’t take pictures because then I wouldn’t even need to make this review. While I love the taste of flavor of chipotle restaurants, this particular store stands out as a step-by-step of what not to do in any given restaurant. The service is almost comically bad, whatever request you make they either do it wrong or tell you it can’t be done, even something as simple as “can I have rice in a large bowl and I’ll pay whatever it costs?” I ordered a large guac, which can be put in a container for some reason, and they gave me a shot-glass-sized small, and when I reminded them super kindly that I wanted a large, the woman behind the register said “oh great he wants a large now.” I should particularly point out that their responses might suggest to you that I was rude in some kind of way or that I gave a certain tone, but to be honest with you, they would probably be surprised that I left this review, I was so kind. No matter how bad the service, there’s never a reason to be rude, even when someone’s being rude to you. The best thing that I can do for other people is notify you that this restaurant is appalling In Service, there was trash everywhere, and I really regret going — to the point where I went to another restaurant instead because I’m worried the food...
Read moreBeing my very 1st time, I can not speak for every Chipolte, but I did enjoy my meal, service, and all-around experience at the Lawrence location. Maybe not the best choice after the gym, but I was getting a hungry headache, and to be completely honest, I've been wanting to try it. I planned on getting the chicken bowl from their commercial. I wasn't aware of the different choices. The steak was pink 😍 so brown rice, steak, guacamole, black beans, white corn, sour cream, mild salsa (I think they gave me the hot) I love spicy but found the salsa to be over powering. I also got a side of chips but didn't eat any. I planned on taking it to go, but I like to people watch so I decided eat in. Plus, like I said, I was hungry. The portion shown in the commercial looks much smaller than the actual portion size. I like that the kitchen and service area is open. A friend suggested that next time I try, the shredded beef (I think that's it) I'm not a salsa lover, so I'll be leaving that out. $18 and very fulling. I'm not one to finish an entire meal, so for me, I couldn't even eat 1/2 of it. I definitely enjoyed my meal. I gave my leftovers to my dad & he...
Read moreNot a fan of this location. The store does not open at the time listed on the door and the meat just doesn't look appealing. I usually get the chicken bowl but it's a hit or miss. The few times I've visited, since there aren't a lot of good food choices in the area, the chicken was always burnt on the outside and you'll notice it when you eat because you have to constantly spit out the burnt pieces after each spoonful. I'm not sure why the cooks can't get it right. I've been ordering from chipotle for over 9 years and haven't had that issue. As far as service goes, the cashier and servers are usually pleasant. There are only a small few that look like they hate their jobs/this is simply just a side job for them and aren't welcoming but for the most part service is OK they just need to do something about the meat. I'll update this review to include a photo of what it should look like vs what this location serves. Perhaps the area that the chipotle establishment is located in determines the quality of food and experience you have because all of the ingredients in the Elmont location is fresh and doesn't look like it was leftovers from the...
