Churrasqueria Genesis Restaurant II — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Upon arrival you have like 3 guys all trying to talk to you at the same time behind the register without giving you chances to feel the place out, on top of ordering at a restaurant your dining in at your have to come and get your own food while there’s 6 guys standing behind the register doing absolutely nothing you are your own waiter. We order two different types of steaks medium everything was leaking juices everywhere food splattered on your plate not to mention both steaks had absolutely no flavor. The potato salad chucks of potatoes were so huge steamed veggies were hard and crunchy We sent it back to get cooked a little more thinking that would help no nothing still tasteless. One of the steaks was with white rice you can see blood in the white rice and they didn’t even bother changing the rice they put the steak back on the same plate, the chef saw me making faces of disappointment and had not a care in the world DEFINITELY WILL NOT BEING COMING BACK!!! If I could give zero stars I would there’s no type of hospitality & they need to take some cooking lessons for being so expensive and steak tasting like cardboard I’m surprised there still open I burped steak the whole ride back home I don’t even want to see or eat steak for a while that’s how traumatizing it was. Since moving to Hempstead in October 2017 our family has managed to stop in at Churrasqueria Genesis on Peninsula Blvd at least once a week and sometimes twice a week.Why, you might ask.Because this family restaurant has a wonderful variety of chicken,fish,steak and ribs all seasoned like Mom used to make.Tasty and we'll cooked without being over-seasoned.The prices are phenomenal,there is parking,which is super convenient,the staff is exceptional and the facilities are always clean.I met the owner recently and he is passionate about his business and it shows.There is another location in Freeport just off Sunrise Hwy which we have visited before as well and which is equally good.I highly recommend the Genesis restaurants for Brazilian-style grilling...

Well where can I start, stopped by to get something to eat after taking an exam near the location. First off the atmosphere is nice with traditional tables and chairs expected, nice Spanish music playing in the background while one enjoys their meal, a wide variety of Juices and a good selection of foods to try personally the ribs were amazing and the fried chicken even though a bit cold was delicious.
