Makondo Restaurant Hempstead — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Came here for my father's birthday on Sunday. We are Colombian and we've tried soooo many different restaurants. We found out about this restaurant because we usually take the trip all the way to white plains for a family related restaurant to Makondo. When we found out they have another one in long Island, we had to try it out. It was soooo fresh and delicious and I love the portion sizes. They cooked it exactly how I wanted. The service was top notch, both the servers were extremely attentive and helped our large party with everything. The chicken empanadas and the pan fresco were spectacular. We all live in Queens with plenty of Colombian spots, but honestly the trip here is worth it because of how delicious the plates were compared to other colombian spots. Highly recommend!!
