Dunkin' — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

This Dunkin Donut location is somewhat off the beaten path. Unless you are from around this area you don’t really see it from the Turnpike. It has a service road that runs in front of it and the back entrance which makes it a bit less inviting with the ever over flowing dumpsters is not really noticeable unless you live here or have business in the area and are going past there ie: the library, pool or CVS. But once inside even if there is a long line it always moves fast and more times than not your food is what you’ve ordered and nice and piping hot. Coffee is consistently good. Even though there are a lot of young people working there they are very polite and do know what each thing is on the menu is supposed to turn out to be. The only thing that throws them off at times is when I mention the AARP Senior Discount. They have to check with a manager. This in my opinion should be taught as part of their initial startup. Because of the excellent food and the nice people that work there I gave it 5 stars. I can’t take off for things beyond their control such as the location and garbage that hasn’t...

Ordered a big custom ice cream cake two weeks ago for a 930 pickup, i arrived at 915 & the store door was locked,and it was pouring. I saw the employee working standing by a mop inside, who watched me knock and wave for his attention with wblack stare .. yet would not let me into the store or hear me out. He just ignored me, laughing with his friends who were hanging out inside with him. I called the store phone, heard the ring, watched him ignore it as he laughed with his friends. I stood calling different numbers from the confirmation email and website, all while from the door, until 945(really needed it for work the following morning...) The employee looked at me finally, picked up the phone and tools me i could have come to the front. There was no apology of words at all, he took his time getting it out, i asked why he hasn't let me in, he didn't answer. I asked for the manager, he was out. After improperly closing the box nearly ruining the frosting name i just left. I'm not sure why it was so difficult but after this one experience i will never step foot in...

They got my very simple order wrong. Coffee light no sugar.....they gave me sugar. They corrected it when I alerted them. My egg and ham on an english muffin had cheese when I specifically asked for no cheese. I ate it anyway since I had already bitten into it. Dinning area could use attention. Sat there for 35 minutes and no one came out to tidy up the area. Debris next to garbage receptacle on the floor, and around the tables....and noticed some light dusting is needed on the light fixtures above. Wet floor sign left out in the middle of the floor with no visible liquids around. The location manager and or the district manager should be on top of this as first impressions are everything. While the staff was busy at times since it was 10:30 a.m. they had several opportunities to break away during the down time to pay attention to the dining area. The positive was that the staff seemed very friendly and they were quick with the orders behind...
