I get to this store today on my break and i get a shopping cart while i am picking my stuff i didn’t find my shopping cart of course none educated client and i want out so made to get another shopping carts i pushed the cart when i was made when a one of employees he came asking me i couldn’t put my made at the store i told him i was made now i am ok i apologise and he started yelling at me asking to leave the store, i refuse and i told him he is bothering me i was mad don’t make me mad again he keeps following me looking at me uncomfortable way i turned to him asked him if i look beautiful he answered me back that i am ugly and crazy and i have to leave the store. I called the customer service and over the phone they asked me to call the manager. I asked a lady if she is the store manager so she said yes, after i told her what happened she asked me to come tomorrow because she is the assistant manager but i asked you before if you are the manager you said yes, why you waisted my time. She is yes talking to me is waist time for you and she started giving that guy a smile sarcastic on me. I felt discriminated, sexual harassment and insulted just to deal with people uneducated. Read moreI'm very disappointed with the customer service I received (or didn't receive?) at the Merrick Home Goods store. Along with other items, I purchased two boxes of dishes for $12.99 and was charged for three boxes. I didn't realize this until late that night, and contacted the manager (whom I won't name) the next day to let him know. He was very nice and assured me he'd look into it and get back to me shortly, but I had to call again a few days later. All in all, I called a few more times and each time, he gave me a runaround and assured me he'd be in touch...to be honest, I felt that he was just blowing me off and really couldn't care less. Well, it has now been two months and I have heard nothing (except maybe crickets chirping). If the charge for the item I didn't purchase was under $5, I wouldn't have called and would have chalked it up to a new learning experience of checking the receipt thoroughly before I leave the store (which I've learned anyway). Read morePurchased a pet gate from this location two weeks ago and after opening it for the first time two nights ago, the wood split. Went to return the gate next day and was treated very poorly by staff. The woman working the register was extremely rude. I asked if the item could be returned and she rolled her eyes and told me to go find the manager myself after refusing to simply call her to the register herself. Went to look for the manager and was met with even more unnecessary attitude. Asked the manager if there was any possibility to make a return and was told the item was purchased too long ago, even though there is a 30 day return policy and it was purchased two weeks prior as shown on the receipt provided. The manager, Leanna, refused to come to the front to assist with the issue and acted unprofessionally. Took the item to the Rockville Center location the following day and was able to return the item immediately with the help of friendly staff.
