Just join! I am so happy with how I feel and the quality of this place! I wanted to wait a while before writing a review so that I could give a true sense of the changes I feel in my health, and in my body! I joined in September 2023, and it has been an amazing experience of transforming my strength and health. . I feel stronger, Iâve lost weight, but most importantly, my body and my posture and joints feel amazing! The staff here are very professional, you have amazing instructors for all different levels, and all different styles. You really get to learn if you are a beginner, and then be able to progress with more advanced classes and instructors as you gain confidence and strength. Lastly, Iâve always been a person that hates doing ab work, a Pilates, reformer, and practice allows you to use your abdominal muscles and your core, without boring sit ups or exercises that are repetitive or hurt your neck and back. Pilates has actually given me strong abs that are visible and I truly enjoyed the work in the reformer that did it!
Some tips on instructors as youâre getting started: Call of the level one instructors are great! As youâre progressing, some of the tougher ones are great when youâre ready to challenge yourself. Lloyd is amazing! He has very meticulous experience and helps you with your form, challenges, you to build up to exercise exercises every week that build your strength and confidence in your ability. He is also very attentive on students that need support and engages everyone with a lot of fun energy as well. Margaret, and Jackie and Norman do an amazing job of explaining everything as youâre learning, but they still challenge you. Margaret also does great cardio sculpt and theme classes which are fun! Lisa does a lot of challenging reps that make you stronger and pushes you which is great to improve your strength. Maria is funny and sassy and really teaches good form. Gerald is like the energizer bunny so be ready and alert. Everyone is great and has their own style. First of all, they do everything from their heart to improve everybodyâs health, and then joy meant of learning this wonderful practice called Pilates! Karen at reception management and Customer Service is really good. Karen at reception in particular is really great with helping on. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff who made me feel welcome and comfortable. The studio itself was clean, well-maintained, and exuded a peaceful and calming atmosphere, creating the perfect environment.

   Read moreI have been a member of Club Pilates Merrick since they opened in June of 2022. I've been an active gym member 5 to 6 days a week for 25 years. I'm over 60 and didn't think that I needed as much cardio and wait lifting so I tried Pilates. I'm at a desk for 8 - 10 hours a day and I am so thankful that I can start my day with Pilates. The instructors are all very good. They assist with your form and are always available before and after classes for questions. I like Jim in particular. His classes are never the same. They are challenging but you feel amazing when you leave. He has amazing taste in music and he's got a great sense of humor but more importantly, he is real. He became a Pilates instructor due to some hip issues he had. In light of this, he has a true appreciation for the benefits of practicing Pilates. As an athlete, he's got tremendous experience in all forms of exercise and has chosen to teach Pilates. That to me means a lot.
