Lazzat Indian & Pakistani Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Do not order from this place!! Rude and bad customer service. Ordered from grub hub, food came and missing an entree.minutes after receiving, got a call from grubhub item was out of stock and refunded. So 45 minutes or so after waiting, no one calls to ask if we want different item or replacement from wither lazzat or grub hub. Now we have incomplete order and not enough food 45 minutes later.. so we call grub hub abs they say nothing they can do but what they did and we have to call restaurant. I call restaurant and explain. I ask how can you send out incomplete order without checking with customer. He says i cant i tell grubhub and they ok’d order. That os absolute lie. He didn't check he sent out order as is because he didn't want to deal with it. How do i know that because he basically said grubhub not my problem. I said sir its still your reputation as restaurant even if it was delivered by someone else. You should still care and try to do something. Needless to say he ended the conversation with not my problem, don't call me again and hung up.

The guy who answered is rude and horrible customer service. Never eating there or ordering directly or indirectly again. You dont treat or talk to people like that. Trash person and trash restaurant....

I adore Indian cuisine. Lazzat is a good restaurant. The food is always good, if not as amazing as a few places in Hicksville, but it doesn't need to be. The prices are very very fair, and the service is good. Free fast delivery is also a plus! A very good choice for local Indian food.

EDIT: Years later ive decided to change my rating of this place. Went there for dinner w my girl. I ordered something and requested it spicey, she ordered mild. The waiter was so rude and annoying, constantly talking to us condescendingly. Before the food came out, i told my girl that if the food comes out spicey, she can order something different. The jerk yelled from behind the counter "um dont worry its gonna be fine". You had to be there but it was terrible.

After all that, food finally comes out and its the complete opposite of what we asked for. Mine was as bland as Ben Steins voice, and hers was as spicey as Shakiras dance moves.

I used to enjoy the place because its cheap, but the people there suck and the food is the lowest quality indian food around. I think they just cook a bunch of each thing and heat it up in the damned microwave when you order. With SO much good indian food in hicksville,...

I'm sad to say that my favorite restaurant has fallen from grace. I've read reviews and it seems that the restaurant changed owners and I cannot confirm if that is true but I can confirm the quality of the food has dropped tremendously. I wish I could turn back time and get the Tikki Masala from when they opened because what it is today is not the same. I moved across the country from NY to MN, to VT, and whenever I came back to visit family I would get Lazzat. I would rave to my girlfriend that I cannot find any place like Lazzat.

I remember a kind women (Previous Owner?) had such motherly vibes and always welcomed me but now the interior lacks any love and warmth. Every meal felt like it was cooked with love. I remember the tikki masala being a beautiful clay red with huge chunks of chicken and my last order was grey with little white clumps of yogurt? Did it curdle? It was like a tomato soup. No love went into it. Also I remember the Samosa being huge like a baseball and now they are little tiny triangles.

I take no joy in writing my 1 star review and I hope they can have a come back but I will not...
