This 13mnth. old place; brings to mind right away: the, owners/operators, of this place, to start w/: specifically; in relation, to treatment of their customers; for just a few BIG-NO-NO'S, such as: CONSTANT; &: Big: EXCUSE-MAKING!!; &: Dis-Honesties; Lack of Communication(s); Dis-Respects; DownRight, Large; &: FOUL RudeNess-es; Poor Manners; Unkind; &: Cold: InSincerities; as well as: the, connected behaviors; that join those negativities; such as: they Don't Deliver; along w/: this item, Which Is: OF: #1; EXTREME IMPORTANCE; Is, this: VERY TROUBLING CONCERN; &: ISSUE: THERE ARE: NO, PUBLIC USAGE TOILET FACILITIES!!; MADE AVAILABLE!!!

Those are some things on the top of the lists, as to what adds up to the reasons, which do factor Significantly, into play, when it comes to: the answers, as to: why, dealing w/: this joint, is: NOT Nearly as satisfying, as it could be; nor: as it should be!! There are in fact, additional items on the list of questionables; &, negatives, i.e.: Lackings in: Follow-Thru-s; &: lackings of: sufficient; &, proper, business: foresight; planning; preparation; and, insight; along w/: errors, in: key business success marker points, such as: poorly-conceived vision; in-sufficient English abilities; &, overall, broad; commerce related; skill sets based: educational deficiencies. This is simply a derivation, on: another highly limited; chain style; solo food item; Hispanic small cafe; food enterprise. These've popped up, All Over, w/: Puerto Rican; Cuban; Mexican; &, other various types of: empanadas; &: Colombian arepas; Peruvian chicken; Ecuadorean pupusas; Mexican tacos/burritos/etc.; w/: overly sugared; kiddie: sweets; &: soft-drinks; &, now, we see a slight variation, w/: Venezuelan arepas; &: assorted; mostly nice: cachapas; ETC.; tho, there are slight differences; &, Mostly, all of these foods are good; but, too repeated. In essence, they all always share the same drawbacks: limited menus; &: ideas; future geared towards franchising closed ended ideas; &, more: professionally: detached; remote; uninvolved; dispassionate; convenience oriented; stripped down; w/: simplified auto-responses, instead of: emotionally involved; &: personally caring ones. Overall, these are, businesses all marked by: a, FOOLISH sense of absentee-ist form of remote ownership; &: remote/automated operation of same. Their mood; or: desire vibe; which these joints all reek of, is: they want places of: a, biz running itself; regardless of, that being: Im-Personal; Cold; BAD BIZ; rather than: Sincerely warm; &, personally involved in the lives of the community, thru their actual presence; w/: their clients, as they all live their lives, at the same time, interwoven together. Sadly; there's these; more external examples, being: poor timing issues; poor current labor relations issues; poor employment conditions; poor general small-business conditions; their exclusively/Overly: In-Hiring from their own ethnic background community, vs. hiring from the local area communities; Etc.; [amongst, other issues; such as: family; &, familial relatives problems; like: (But, Not limited to): engaging in; &, suffering from: -in-attentive owners; &, staff; power struggles; jealousies; dislikes; hatreds; resentments; lyings; rights; monies; plus: multi-business:/multi-property: splits; &, assorted other, various: in-fightings; added to: Poor location issues; poor supply chain issues; expired food-items sales; or: give-aways; opening pate; closing early; unposted biz info; ETC.] All, of these;...[&, yes, there're also, other issues]; come: Immediately, to: thought; as: (some of), the best contemporaneous explanations for coming to the conclusions, not to give to here, any more of my economic supporting $; altho, I'd been a deeply explorative customer, all the way, from: their very first, initial, opening days of doing, simple transactions; &, any business whatsoever; right up, until: Now; where I've, had to; come to: a, FULL Stop: W/: This place!!

[Up-Dated:...

This place hits home with me because I am Venezuelan, and like every other culture food is something that sticks with us. I've ordered to go and eaten inside the restaurant and the food almost never disappoints me. If you've never had an arepa this is the place to try it. The cachapas, a grounded down corn pancake, with the queso melted in between genuinely fills my heart with joy. I tried the empanadas for the first time during my lunch break this week and the masa just slapped me in the face. It's exactly how I remember my mom making them growing up and the way my grandma made them, the masa is juuust a little sweet which works perfectly with the saltiness of the queso. I believe they use queso guayanes and that is the perfect cheese for all of these meals. The cherry on top is all of the snacks that I haven't had since I was a kid and can rarely find anywhere unless it's specifically a Venezuelan establishment. I've purchased Bubaloo: (liquid candy filled gum, think gushers), Torontos: which is a chocolate covered hazelnut in a perfect, shiny ball, Cocosete: layers of thin wafers with a coconut cream in between them, Piruline: smaller (better) version of Pepridge Farms pirouettes with the hazelnut cream inside. They also serve Chica which is a liquified rice & condense milk drink that is just delicious. If you're looking to try something new, there are so many great items on the menu to choose from. You...

My husband and I were in the area and noticed this small but super cute restaurant and decided to try it out. First of all: as you walk in the restauran is impeccably clean, and decorated super cute. We were greeted immediately by a gentleman in the front who has the best customer service skills! He walked us over their menu, made recommendations upon us requesting it and even went as far as offering us sauce samples after my husband commented he has a sensitive stomach and typically is afraid to order things with sauce. Ultimately my husband ordered a patacón de pernil (which he said was very good! And he’s a picky eater) And I had the arepas de huevo- which were super fresh and very flavorful. The gentleman recommended a light garlic sauce they make in house which was the perfect combination with the arepas. I highly recommend and plan to return!

Finding a Venezuelan restaurant in New York is almost next to impossible until we stopped here for the first time. We wanted some authentic South American cuisine and was not disappointed. We ordered the Patacon Carne and Parrilla. The waiter was nice to talk to and he explained how they were able to bring authentic ingredients from back home. The patacon used fried plantain as the sandwich to hold all the delicious meat from falling out. The parrilla was a great sampler for their meat dishes. Tasty, authentic, flavorful, and washed it down with a can of Maltin. Will come back to explore other menu items.
