Mario's Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

So l use to go here as a kid and it seems like nothings really changed since the last 10 years! It's a pretty small place, the decor is not that appealing, just very dull looking. I ordered the chicken parm with pasta. I really wanted spaghetti but the guy said it would take too long and gave me penne pasta instead. I was kinda bummed about that. I got it to go and they packed it in 2 separate containers, which made it annoying to eat it separate like that. The pasta tasted microwaved/reheated. But the chicken parm was actually really good! The guy at the register was really nice aswell.

Service was quick probably because they weren't that busy, but beware, this is the goto spot for the high schoolers during the afternoon and after school hours so it can get pretty packed. But in the summer it's not that bad of a crowd.

First and last time ordering from this place. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Pizza, which I've had from other pizzerias before by the slice and whole pie. I've never seen a pizza with such poor presentation and a blatant sign of apathy in preparation. It was a sloppy, dripping, soupy mess of excessive everything. The chicken was saturated and chewy, the cheese and whatever dressing or sauce they use was spilling over the crust. It literally looked like someone vomited on a pizza crust and it tasted very mediocre for the price. Not worth it. Unappetizing. Absolutely lazy, an embarrassment to Italian cuisine and NY pizza. It has been 25 minuets so far, and still no food! In anther 5 minuets, I’m walking out the front door! I can go into any one of ten million pizza places and get the same bland, cheap ingredient greasy pizza. Not impressed with this place in the slightest! I also get the impression the person taking phone orders is not to enthusiastic in doing so. Seem like your interfering with his time and just a bother to answer your call.
