I recently visited The Flour Shoppe in Rockville Centre and overall had a positive experience. On a Saturday, it was pretty crowded, which made it a bit difficult to navigate the line at the register without being in someone’s personal space, especially near the bar or those seated at tables. I placed my order online, but there was a mix-up, and they couldn’t find it at first. Thankfully, they were able to resolve it fairly quickly.

I really appreciate that they let you create your own sandwich, so you’re not stuck settling for something you don’t want. I went with the Deluxe Breakfast Sandwich with no meat, subbed cheddar cheese, and scrambled eggs on a brioche roll—simple but super satisfying. It was filling enough on its own! My friend had the Deluxe Breakfast Sandwich with bacon, American cheese, and scrambled eggs on a Kaiser roll, and they loved it too.

I also tried their Pumpkin Pancakes and I have to say, they were absolutely delicious—fluffy and perfectly spiced! I’ll definitely be coming back this week for more.

One downside, though, is that a lot of their menu items are à la carte, which can add up quickly, especially if you’re hungry. I understand the need for flexibility, but it would be nice if more items were included in the base price. That said, the portions are generous, so you may not need to add too much extra to your order.

Overall, great food and good service despite the busy crowd. Looking forward to...

Me and my friends were looking for a place to sit indoors because all the places in Manhattan were outdoor dining. We traveled from the city to check out this place. We were able to sit where we wanted but had to go to the register to place our order and the waiter brought over the food to us. None of us really enjoyed the food but the water. Three adults and one child. I felt the food was rushed and not seasoned well. And I ate a half done raw burger! I was really hungry so I went with the burger and added salt, pepper, ketchup and it already had bbq sauce so it made it more tasty. I didn’t notice how raw the burger was until my friend ask “you eat your food that way”? And I said what you mean and she pointed out the half done cooked burger. I should of took it back to them and ask for a fully cooked burger which I would of thought they would of asked how I wanted it done but I just let it go and decided to write this review and took photos. And they were about to close so we didn’t bother because my friend said his burger was the same because he noticed it but said he didn’t want to make a fuss. I know some people eat their food this way and I didn’t want to waste it but I shouldn’t have eaten it my stomach was messed up right after. The cashier and waiter seemed nice but the service of giving us a raw burger made me give them two stars. I will not be going back and don’t recommend because the food that we ordered...

This rating is weighed down heavily by the extremely poor level of service at this establishment. The FOOD really is AWESOME! If you have all the time in the world and the patience of a saint with an entire morning to spare, by all means enjoy! However, for the majority of us, the experience won't be that enjoyable. I ordered ahead of time for pickup and wasn't given a timeline for when the food would be ready. Given it was a two item breakfast order, I assumed the "We'll see you soon" meant "Be read shortly". As soon as I walked in, I knew I was in for trouble. The front-house staff moves at a snail's pace with ZERO urgency to serve the customers. There's no defined system of who is next. Line forms where? During the 30-40 minutes I stood waiting for food, I observed people ordering at the counter ahead of those who were there before them, an agitated man complaining how long his To-Go order was taking, only for the server to bring it out on a tray to dine-in, another customer bring in a wrong order delivered to his table saying it was the THIRD TIME they gave him the wrong thing. WHAT!? Close down the restaurant for a few days, retrain your staff, create better systems for ordering and efficient delivery of food, and become the great food spot you intended to be because the food really was excellent but completely overshadowed by an abysmal front of house...

Checked this place out for the first time today. Small, cozy, very dim lighting, has an outlet in the high top bar seating by the front windows/entrance to charge your electronics in case you’re working from there. Didn’t see any other outlets around. Wouldn’t be a cafe I necessarily work from, unless it’s a very short stay. Food was great, had the Grande BLT sandwich with grilled chicken - the bacon jam and aioli inside gave it such a great flavor. Only thing I will say is that the chicken was a little dry. The fried crispy tortilla chips it came with were delicious! Not the healthiest granted but still yummy! Haha. My partner had the egg platter with turkey sausage, which he said was said was decent. The portions were great size. The only thing is you have to go to the register to place your order and pay, and they will bring your food out. Fair prices for what you get. They sell a bit of merchandise there too. Didn’t get to try their coffee this time, but may check it out another time if in the area. Cute decor. They seem to have regulars that go there, which says a lot about the spot.
