UPDATE in response to the owner - I cannot speak on behalf of other customers, only myself. Your staff was rude and insisted we can only order from the prix-fixe menu. Had she been clearer and explained that offering the prix-fixe menu to larger parties is policy but ordering from it is not mandatory, this entire situation could have been avoided. If this is your restaurant's policy, it should be communicated to patrons, either verbally or on your website. Instead, your staff insinuated that we could ONLY order from the prix-fixe menu even after we asked about ordering from the regular menu. Personally, I wouldn't go so far as to say discrimination (it's more about customer service and communication), but there are a few other reviews calling out racism and prejudice at your establishment so who knows...fyi, you can be BIPOC and racist.
As for the "high" rating, many restaurants offer discounts and other perks for leaving great reviews so I personally take reviews written by someone who has only one other review with a grain of salt. Have a wonderful weekend :)

Absolutely disappointed with this spot and their lack of customer service. I DO NOT recommend this spot, especially where there are so many other great spots around that serve Latin-American or similar food. My verdict: steer clear of them and read their 1-star reviews AND their Yelp reviews.
Absolutely HORRIBLE experience at a spot I was excited to try! My mom called to make a reservation because we had a large party (7 ppl) and was told they don't accept reservations. She spoke to a few different people who alternated between yes and no before saying she could make a reservation. When we got there, our table wasn't ready as yet which is fine since it's a super busy spot.
What ruined the evening was one of the employees coming over with a prix-fixe menu saying that we needed to order from that menu specifically. We didn't understand why and asked about the regular menu but she insisted we could only order from the prix fixe menu without giving any actual reason why. Their website has no mention of a prix-fixe menu either. We decided to leave, which they didn't care about UNTIL my mom said we'd leave a BAD REVIEW.
That got their attention and another employee came running over saying that we can order from the regular menu and the prix fixe was just an option. At that point, the evening was ruined and we just left.
If large groups could only order from the prix fixe menu, this should have been communicated to us on the phone when we made the reservation. Absolutely horrible customer service.

I came one night and sat at the bar and ordered food (wings) and 2 drinks. It was almost closing time so it was only myself and one other couple at the bar. I was on the phone speaking to friends of mine and my battery died, I asked if they had a charger, because I had ordered an Uber and I didnât fully remember what the Uber details were because I didnât anticipate my battery dying, they said they didnât have one. I paid the bill and left within the timeframe my Uber was supposed to arrive because it was like 5 minutes away when I had initially ordered it. I came back another night with my HUSBAND and we had a disagreement and he was becoming hostile, so I left hastily and I also left him with the bill which he was supposed to pay (this was my first time ordering their entrees and the food was horrible, also the servers).
After I left, The manager walks up to my husband and asks him if he knows me and instead of making sure that I was okay as a female in the situation, He proceeds to tell my husband I was there nights before and they âthoughtâ I was trying to leave without paying that night and I was there to do it again. My husband then told them that I would never do that because thatâs not my character. But my greatest concern was why would he bring that up if I PAID the bill that was supposed to be paid the first night I went with no issues at all! (and generously tipped the bartender) and also why would you approach my husband who was being an aggressor and giving out information that has nothing to do with him about my previous whereabouts and your âthoughtsâ when you just saw this man being aggressive toward me. Everyone saw my husbandâs behavior, which prompted me to leave and instead of addressing it, the manager gaslit the whole situation- not knowing I was his actual WIFE. But reading the other reviews I can summarize that because I am black and my husband was of hispanic descent was why this matter was handled the way it was. I was racially profiled because why would he think I wasnât trying to pay the bill?! And then to bring it up again days later to someone else AFTER the bill was paid with no issues is obscure!! So In summary: donât go here if you are black because you will be racially profiled and do not go here if you are a WOMAN because you will not be protected in the event of any misunderstanding. Lady said the manager should confirm with me through text shortly. I didnât get a text. Thankfully, I took her name and his. The day of I showed up with my party and briefly told the hostess. Manager was put off due to lack of communication and didnât apologize. With a pout we got seated to 2 wobbly tables. I was considerate enough to offer to seat us away from people due to us having 2 toddlers. Bottomless was denied. The waitress went to ask the manager. It was confirmed by her if all adults refused to purchase , no one was allowed. Not even the birthday girl. The steak was good just the size of my palm, unlike the pictures online. Mangu was 10/10 yum! They were decent enough to let two additional people added to table last minute. They ate and drank their food less than 15 mins. We were considerate enough to ask before they got there if they can be added we were told 50/50 chance theyâd be seated with us âdue to them filling upâ theyâre were plenty of tables and chairs probably just short staffed. We figured theyâd be seated nearby- no biggie. (They went to the other Mojo in queens! Thatâs why they were late-our fault completely) We tried our best to make the best of it for the birthday girl. She loved her 4 leches dessert tho! Bomb! Donât dare ask the waitress for any recommendations, youâll just piss them off.
