Finding Mangia Bene is like winning Willy Wonka's golden ticket. This little slice of heaven separates itself from the over abundance of Italian restaurants through the following key elements:

Commitment - every staff member is fully committed to providing an incredible experience. You can easily tell that the staff love working at Mangia Bene and share a similar passion for the food. I can’t count how many times I’ve heard a server say, “that dish is incredible” or “I need that too”

Creativity - I rarely ever frequent Italian restaurants because I often find myself underwhelmed and think I could do better in myself. This is so not the case here. Mangia Bene prides itself on elevating classic neighborhood Italian, putting a little spin on tradition, while honoring the history of a dish.

Consistency - you can always count on the dedicated restauranteur Maurizio walking the tables to ensure flawless execution not only in the food, but also the experience. Another element of consistency is the incredible service.... I consistently receive the warmest welcome and incredible service. There is no fluctuation in the experience.

Do yourself a favor: Stop reading this and experience Mangia Bene...

We discovered this location a few months ago and love it. The service is excellent the food is very good great pizza, delicious drinks and reasonably priced. Tonight's dinner was fantastic until the end. I'm assuming an owner or manager thought it was a great idea to argue with another owner or manager at the bar, I honestly do not know who's who but in some capacity they both work there. The argument was intense and honestly just inappropriate and uncomfortable for other workers. You could see their frustration and their attempts to calm the 1 of the 2 down. There is a time and a place for this discussion, not when customers are there and it's unnecessary in front of workers who are not involved. It was so distracting to the end of our dinner and quiet Frankly we left in agreement picking a side the male arguing with the female who was behind the bar was outrageously rude and maybe he's right we have no idea, but his tone was so condescending, loud and offensive. We will come back, but this should never happen again not just in front of customers but even privately talk to people with more respect have...

Just came here tonight with my husband and I definitely will not be coming back. My hubby ordered spaghetti from the menu. When he got it, it came in some type of cream sauce that he didn't like. We informed the bartender and she had the manager come over. Instead of being understanding, She said that next time read the menu when you decide what you want to order. Quite insulting. Also, the menu doesn't even detail the type of sauce for any of their pasta entrees. His simply said fresh spaghetti, black pepper. Where is the info for the sauce? Now we let the manager know that he would prefer my dish. She never put his order in so I had to inform the bartender on his request. So here I am with my Food in front of me and now my husband had to wait another 20 mins for his food. We also ordered meatballs which came with 3 miniature meatballs for $14. Definitely overpriced. I also asked for bread and never got it. I definitely won't be coming back. It's unfortunate because we came here before and enjoyed it but we...

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I cannot wait to go back. The food from the bread on the table (with warm ricotta spread) to the dessert was incredible. The vibes are cozy, it’s decorated really pretty inside with the fire oven visible. The service was 11/10, we even had the chance to meet the owner who took us through their process of making fresh pasta— which leads me to my next point. This was, the best pasta I’ve ever had living in NY/NYC and I’m not being dramatic. Personally, I ordered the Paccheri Salsiccia and it IT WAS LITERALLY TO DIE FOR. Like that pasta should be famous. Even the spaghetti and sauce that came as a side to the Veal Chop was incredible, and my Mom got the Garganelli Siciliano which was also really good (the sauce has a stronger garlic taste which I absolutely love, so if you’re a garlic lover you’ll like it too). We went for my Dad’s birthday after stumbling upon this restaurant on Google, and I’ll absolutely be back.

Was in town for a funeral. Went here solo to get some food. It was Sunday Sauce night! I’ve been a chef and restaurant owner for 30 years and have never had anything like this. It was amazing. Sausage, braised veal shank meat, and Meatballs! It Came with a side of Spaghetti and sauce, but DON’T Mix the sauces. They are both delicious but both very different. The owners eye may twitch if you do and rightfully so! 😂 Thank you Jade and Mauricio (maurizio?) for the hospitality. The Tuscan blend by the glass was a great start! Sitting at the bar meeting your regulars was so fun as well. Every single thing was perfect and you made me feel like a friend in a city I’ve never been and under tough circumstances. I can’t wait to come back, and see you again. Till then, I hope everyone that reads this goes on a Sunday to support and eat that Sauce!! This Dessert was phenomenal and the Espresso martini was perfect as well.
