I have been a (not-so) loyal customer of Glamour & Lashes since 2017. I only say not-so loyal because, on occasion when I've been out of town for work or had to book locally last minute, I have tried so many other places at an array of price points. I always, always, always return to Glamour & Lashes.
Sue is not only one of THEE best lash technicians ever, but one of my favorite people, I swear it's like therapy. A problem I found in a ton of other lash studios (or buisness that offer lash services) are either a lack of options or the completley oppisite, offering a mess of confusing add-ons that wrack up your bill. Glamour & Lashes simplifies this headache with their system. With coinciding pictures, you first chose your desired lash curl pattern between a more subtle natural extension or a more dramatic curled extension. They then divide their options into 3 types of styles/shapes that you choose from first and then you pick the volume (how many lashes you'd get per eye--don't worry, again, you see it on a picture). I loved this because, early on, I had no clue if 50 or 500 was the right amount of lashes for me.
Of course you can choose whatever style you want, but upon my first visit, Sue went over the shape/style that would compliment my face and eye shape best and which volume I should go with based on the look I explained that I wanted.
Then comes the best part: complete relaxation. The whole place is based around an ambiance of light piano music and aromatherapy. Bring socks if you don't love your bare feet on the floor, because in G&L's commitment to cleanliness, no outside shoes are allowed on their motorized, ultra-cushioned (heated-in-the-winter) beds. You place your belongings in your own basket, that's kept underneath your bed. You're then provided a blanket and tucked in. I'm falling asleep in blissful relaxation writing this just thinking about my next appointment.
After a few appointments you may or may not want to tweak a few things to get your perfect look and you can upgrade to faux-mink or mink for a little extra $. Forgive me some of these Blue Steel selfies, but I wanted to show the combo choices that I've been rocking with for the last few years:
Curl Pattern: C Shape: Amorous (I think that's the name, its when the lashes are gradually longest at the ends for that cat-eye look) Volume: Hollywood
Upgrade: Faux Mink (it's only an extra $10 per fill and for me it just makes such a difference and my lashes pop in a natural way.) I have no eye make-up in any of these pics, I went on vacation, swimming and sweating with these lashes---they don't budge. I was even complimented during a hospital stay a few years ago, where nurses asked if I got my make-up done pre-op (I did not).
I say all of that to say: All of these ladies are fantastic here AND yes I get my eyebrows done there too. I will never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām not one to complain. And this is my very first yelp review which unfortunately isnāt a good one. But Iāve been a loyal customer here for the past couple of months. I raved about them and recommended all my friends see them. But today, my visit went completely left. The set up of the space is a little weird. Today I was at the last table towards the back of the store. In the back is one door way to their break area and the bathroom. The table I was on today was in front of this door way. I noticed it before and even when using the bathroom, you have to walk around the table (with client) on it, to get to the bathroom. I always fall asleep while getting my lashes; Itās so relaxing. And today someone ran into the table I was on causing me to wake up in a fright and therefore opening my eyes. I felt like my eyes had immediately caught on fire. Of course my eyes filled with tears, automatic response to any eye irritation. But my eyes kept tearing because of the burning so the technician couldnāt finish. Besides my eyes watering, I was crying from how bad my eyes hurt. I couldnāt even keep them open, the air hurt, and even closing them hurt. The tech leaves and comes back saying theyāll take off the $10 removal fee. My eyes blood shot and tears streaming down my face I told her I was not going to pay for the treatment. As Iām getting ready to leave Sue, who was once so nice to me, told me sheād call the police if I left without paying. I wasnāt going to cause an uproar over something that obviously wasnāt on purpose and an accident. But I know that table does not belong by that doorway. God forbid the minute someone bumping into it causing the tech to stab someone in the eye, etc. I know that placement of the workspace/table is against salon Workspace regulations; and Sue continued to raise her voice and tell me they have insurance and lawyers... Which is fine. But no one apologized or offered any sort of eye wash, nothing. I couldnāt even drive myself home. Hopefully my Dr can provide some relief, my eyes are still irritated, hours later. But besides that, be forewarned, only God knows how many other business regulations...

I went to them after finding the special they were runnning because of the great reviews. I feel the site was easy to use but there was no point of reference in photos, to help you decide which lash set was best. The location was clean and I was greeted by two women who were kind.
When I came in for my appointment it seemed as though every aspect of service was a la carte down to synthetic vs mink which I canāt say Iāve ever heard of in the 13yrs iāve been getting lashes. Then, I showed the manager/owner a previous photo review and asked which lash set it was since the site doesnāt function as a guide in that way. She said it would be additional cost and told me it was a volume set. I paid the difference and was given a lash tech who started my service. The space was extremely stuffy so I had to ask for a fan or that they turn cool air on as it was end of May.
The set the tech gave me was not what I paid for or shown in reference photo and said āthis looks better on you.ā I did like the set but I found it very odd that they charged for one thing and still installed a different lash set so I asked her which lash set is this then because you were just paid to do what was pictured. She began speaking in her native language and got the manager or owner. I told the manager I like the set I received but it was not whatās in the reference photo and a much lighter fan therefore it was likely cheaper. I asked that in the future they use photo references when guiding new clients to decide on what they want as opposed to arbitrarily giving someone something that isnāt what they paid for. She seemed reluctant to respond but just said āok no problemā.
I know businesses are designed to profit but they are a bit excessive with the a la carte method of lash choices and donāt seem very interested in ensuring the client is getting what is being paid for. I donāt mind paying anywhere from $120-200 for a lash set but it better be precisely what I paid for and nothing less, and that is...
