Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I just went to the location in west hempstead on 2/14/22 @7 and I ordered a smoothie I tried it I didn’t like it because it tasted funny I asked to change the smoothie or pay the difference for another smoothie and the two managers that were there said that I couldn’t that I would have to pay for a whole new one one of them even said “I had the same one today and it was good so you should like it” I didn’t know we had the same taste buds but they were smiling everytime I kept asking for an exchange or my money back because I didn’t want something I did not like but they kept smiling telling me that wasn’t possible but I’ve gone to other locations and they e done it without an issue I didn’t even get my money back nor had my smoothie switched never going there again max...

Edited to change to 4 stars from 1 star due to my previous review was employee based. I decided to give it 1 more try since the rude employee wasn't working today. The employees today were very nice and attentive. My smoothie was delicious.

To all: IF you are in a rush. Order online. It might ...might be helpful. BUT not from what I saw on the 1st nice weather day 10th of March 2025. Need signage / register for pick up online orders. They need to higher a runner (aka cashier only) to handle online in walking customers. While the 2 other girls concentrate on mixes of smoothies. Hope owner pays ladies more so when customer is paying we don't have to have thrown in our face a screen prompt requesting a tip. Before i even have eaten or drank my order.
