Not sure what the fuss is about. The vegans around are excited if a restaurant has celery and bread.
This is deep fried, processed food that is expensive and unattractively presented. It's even a lot more unhealthy because they overcook the meals and it seems they have packaged sauces and use cow milk in the Bubble tea!
They have few choices and all the prepared meals are teriyaki. The dishes they have added are more processed and deep fried proteins
They should make fresh sauce, have fresh mushrooms, snow peas, and garlic and ginger, for stir frys, tofu they can batter and make fresh lemon, General Tsao's and Red Ma Po with long bean sauces
12/23/23 This place HATES fresh vegetables! I ordered a large soup with veg seafood and unlike the description it was all processed weird, unidentified, strange, gelatinous chewy stuff, not much broth and no veggies.
The mixed greens are not greens at all but cabbage and a scant amount of broccoli. The cold seaweed is mass produced and now they are also carrying meat and cow instead of plant milk in the bubble tea! Gross! They should call themselves deep fried, processed, unhealthy food and meat not...
Read moreThis place reminds me that vegetarian food can be packed with flavor. I got their Taiwanese "pork" Fried bento. I forgot I was eating fake meat half way through my meal and just enjoying the flavors. The side of cold tofu was one of the biggest surprises with how much flavor and juices were infused and marinated inside. I got a side of their popcorn chicken, skeptical of it tasting like the real thing. But was pleasantly surprised all the textures and flavor was there. Doesn't exactly taste like chicken. But a great substitute and would order again. This might be the only Taiwanese food spot in all of Hempstead.
As of a month ago they now offer all their dishes with real meat to accommodate a broader audience. So don't be afraid, there is something for everyone who is a fan of Chinese food. But I still recommend you guys try something Taiwanese. The meat dishes are all cooked separately from the vegetarian food for those concerned.
You usually see places like this in Manhattan and Brooklyn. So it's nice to have one here in the suburbs of long island. Can't wait to go back and I hope you guys give this little...
Read moreOne of the best vegetarian foods I've tried. I had many chinese vegetarian food before but it can't compare to the food I ordered from here. Customers can order up to three entrees and 1 side. The meal always comes with a free spring roll as well. I ordered two entrees and one side. The entrees I picked were curry tonkatsu, citrus spare ribs, and fried rice as a side. While my partner ordered the kung pao chicken, chow mein, and black pepper steak. The kung pao chicken is delicious but very hot. I felt like the chow mein was very light in color compared to the typical chow mein I've seen. I enjoyed my meal very much. I love curry tonkatsu because I've never seen a vegan version of the dish. The breading was light on the vegan chicken and my curry came with a lot of yummy veggies like potatoes and carrots. The fried rice was not greasy and mixed with a lot of yummy veggies as well. I would totally come back here to try the...
